Dont want to hear the lack of weapons/online excuses this season. How many 14-13 final score games do you want to sit through?

I guess I missed the part where I advocated drafting only defense.

I am a bit concerned about Metcalf.  He does not run routes well, he drops a lot of passes.  He seems to be a one trick pony.  It would be nice to have a deep threat, but we have more pressing needs along the oline.

Yep, give me Akeem Butler, the dude can separate and stretch catch for the ball like no other.

yup lets continue to draft defense while our potential franchise QB goes into another year playing with practice squad talent on offense.

people who think Allen is somehow magically going to take this offense from bottom 3 to top 15 are going to get a big fat reality check soon. our offense is FAR from where it needs to be right now.

It would have been foolish to pass on Oliver, but I agree - we need to give Josh some targets, and better protection.

No trade up. The 3rd we trade to move up could get someone at a similar level. We can fill two needs - WR, TE, OL, CB with similar talent. Walk away with a combo like:

Taylor/Metcalf/Greedy/AJ Brown/Ford/Risner/Smith

and

Little/Winovich/Butler/C Wilson

Hes a great kid and an athlete from another world. I sort of feel bad for him. I dont know that they pick him if available. I get the feeling that the Bills will be disappointed if they fail to make a strong playoff run this year. I think thats what they expect. I dont know they will want to wait the 2 to 3 years needed to find out if he can develop. Brown is good to go and Butler has done more to favourably project to the next level.

DK and Taylor are the sexy names, Byron Murphy might be the best corner in the draft, a lot of people were very high on Greedy Williams who might be the best corner in the draft. AJ Brown is another WR that had 1st round expectations by some. Cody Ford is another high end player still on the board.

Right now if I am the Bills just stay put at pick 8. There are 8 legit prospects still on the board right now and the better prospect is to just stay put at pick 40 see which of the best remaining players are there. Ideally my dream draft scenario is to have Ford there at pick 40 that would complete the fortress built in front of Josh Allen. Then the team trades back into the mid 50's and takes DK who I hope falls. Ford and DK would cement two blue chip young players that Allen could grow with in the coming years. Ford anchors a guard or tackle spot along the O-line while DK is a bigger DeSean Jackson type deep threat with stud potential (and the injury risk is much more tolerable for a late second round pick.)

While Murphy is BPA and I really like Lane, I would prefer to trade back instead of taking them.  There’s too many players available that have major upside that can help out Josh Allen OR add to our pass rush.  Corner play is the very last of our worries.

I could see a safety being the pick though as our backups are suspect and actually play.  Raffy Bush was picked on last season when he wasn’t effectively blitzing

I'm thinking that we're more set at safety than at almost any other spot on the roster.

For me... the best way to upgrade our passing game is to grab a top TE... Irv Smith would be real tempting if he's still there.

I do not think we need to trade up from 8 to get a great player at a position of need. I would be willing to trade back into the end of the 2nd round if the right player was there. I am fully expecting 1 or 2 trade ups before its over. I do not think they'll make 10 picks.

Feel like I'm in bizarro world.  Metcalf can't catch and Butler can?  Feel like I've seen and heard the opposite.  Give me Metcalf, Risner, or Winovich.

I'd stay at 40 and get Risner. Seems not to long ago people here wanted him n the 1st, now he might still be available at 40. Finalize the o-line and protect Josh for the next decade.

That one's tempting too... he's supposed to be an animal in the running game.

Stay put or trade down so we can trade up again and have 3-4 picks today!!

I am about trading down and getting a 1st rounder for 2020.

Do you think that we could trade down and still get him 10 or so spots later?

We have no depth at safety.  When Hyde and porter missed time bush started and didn’t play very well.  Mo alexander didn’t even play last year other than specially teams.  So one injury to poyer or Hyde and we have bush starting again.

while at corner. White will be playing opposite Either Levi Wallace, who played very well year or Ej Gaines. One gets hurt and the other replaces him.  Then there’s former first rd pick Kevin Johnson who had injuries derail his career to date, but could be a great fit I. This system.  We have 3 solid starters (Tre, Levi/Gaines and Taron)  plus 2 very solid backups

Then theres Taron Johnson, who played exceptionally well last season and looks like the perfect slot corner going forward.

While poyer has 2 years left on his contract that is a relative steal.  He wants to (and deserves to get paid).  But they may not want to pay him what could be 10 mill a year.

I’m on board with that, just depends on which players we’d have to pass on this year and what picks would be included this season

What’s the pressing need on the OL ?

This honestly is the best thing about this team and the board right now, no one is arguing about filling a specific hole. Much like with pick 1, you can go in lots of other directions and it is simply based on the best player on the board.

Usually it would be we need CB because we let, Winfield, Clements, Gilmore etc walk. We need LT because we traded Peters, we need C because Wood retired, we need a G to fill...

We are talking about depth positions in RD 2. (I suppose WR/TE are still there, but we upgraded a lot already and you can't force it all into 1 year)

I was actually thinking about Neal and Marlowe coming along at safety... but I also think that the team likes Bush a lot more that most people on this board.
