RyanC883 Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 I could see the pick being Williams, but only if Oliver and Dillard are gone. I think we would pick a true tackle first. If the pick is Williams, I see us grabbing an OT like Kaleb McCary or Titus Howard in Rd. 2 or 3.
ExWNYer Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Not sure how 'everyone' would be disappointed. I, for one, would be fine/happy with it. Like any other pick, some will be happy and some will be disappointed; however, I think the majority of people would be not be disappointed if Jonah Williams is the selection. As an added bonus, he said that he would love to play for the Bills. Honestly, if the Bills stay at 9, I find it hard to believe that they won't get someone who is good to the majority unless Beane completely goes off the rails. Might not be the first or even second guy you wanted but it will be someone you can get behind, not an "I'm so done with this team" guy. Can't wait for tonight! GO BILLS!!!
akm0404 Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Jason Peters only has a 33 1/8” arm length. That’s a whole 4/8” less than your boy Jonah. I think he could find a way to overcome this shocking 3/8” arm length catastrophe. 3
Rocbillsfan1 Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 No way they pass on Oliver. I think it will go Murray, Bosa, Williams, Allen, White, Oliver, Taylor, bush(maybe hock), then with bills on the clock a trade down for someone coming up for Haskins.
oldmanfan Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 If they draft a ham sandwich that goes on to an All Pro career, I would be fine with that. 1

I see him as a Jake Matthews level player which is good but not elite. Bills already have Jake Matthews level of tackle in Dawkins. I wouldn’t be upset with the pick. Bills need to build both lines.
buffaloboyinATL Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 This would not disappoint everyone. Most of us trust this regime to make the right decision. 1 1
Teddy KGB Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Paired w N’keal Harry and this draft is an a plus 2
MrEpsYtown Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 As long as he doesn't draft Dillard. That's where I am at. But I think the most likely outcome is some sort of trade down and Byron Murphy, or a guy like Cody Ford/Dalton Risner.
dubs Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 I really DON’T want Jonah Williams. Can it a hunch or intuition, but just don’t think a guard at 9 is a good use of that pick.
YoloinOhio Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Obtaining excellent OL for this team will never ever disappoint me. It’s the most critical part of building the offense after the QB. 1
JohnBonhamRocks Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 I would not be disappointed. In fact, I think I’d be full on appointed.
Rock-A-Bye Beasley Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 (edited) I can see them taking Chance Cooper edit: I meant chance warmack edit edit: meant Jonathan Cooper either one is a slam dunk! Edited April 25, 2019 by Chemical
PIZ Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Jonah Williams short arms: https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/draft-jonah-williams-can-overcome-combine-measurements Jonah doesn't care............
CaptnCoke11 Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 I’d be a little disappointed with OL at 9. I don’t see a franchise type LT in those top guy.
Helpmenow Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 How do you excited about a guy who doesn’t touch the ball on O

DrDawkinstein Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 My guy is Oliver, but Id be just as happy with Jonah. Im gonna trust that process the rest of the way. 2

First off, I think the short arm thing is being over-evaluated right now and he will be a successful tackle in this league. But secondly, IF he were to be used at Guard and had a perennial all-pro type of career at that position, would you like the pick then? Or do you think #9 in round 1 is too high for a guard, even for that level of success?
