Didn’t Jim Youngblood from the LA Rams (v. 1.0) actually have ‘Jim’ spelled out in smaller letters on his jersey?

Rule 3.14 in the CBA states that a team cannot have two players with the same name during the regular season.  Prior to this rule being added, you could have 53 Josh Allen's if you wanted to.

I'm not sure why this would ever be an issue, even if they were both on the same side of the ball, even if they were both at the same position.

They would have different numbers. The officials use the numbers to differentiate players. You don't even need the names on the back of the jerseys.

And as I recall, the Youngblood's weren't even related?   How strange is THAT?

Browns took them in the same draft as well:

Andre Davis in the 2nd round

Andra Davis in the 5th round

Scouts got their paperwork messed up and wanted to make sure they got the guy they liked.?

They both look so much alike, I just don't know how we'd tell them apart.

I hoe the Josh Allen on the bottom can pass a drug test.
