Irv Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 If it wasn't before, starting this topic confirms that I need to get a life. If we were to somehow get Kentucky's Josh Allen in the draft: Has there ever been two players on the same NFL team, at the same time, with the same name? What names would be on the back of their jersey's?
mrags Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 They play on opposite sides of the ball. It would just be Allen for both of them. 1
thebandit27 Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 (edited) Yes, at one point Cleveland had at least two (maybe 3) Andre Davises EDIT: it was 2002-2004, and there were only 2 of them. Both players had "Davis" on the back of their uniform--the rule that required initials went by the wayside years ago. Edited April 23, 2019 by thebandit27
CBD Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Browns took them in the same draft as well: Andre Davis in the 2nd round Andra Davis in the 5th round 1

BillsfaninChicago Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Pooh Bear Williams and Pat Williams were on the Bills team at the same time. That isn’t exactly what you asked but I just felt like typing Pooh Bear Williams. 2
CBD Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Roy Williams, WR and Safety, both played for Dallas in 2008

Tuco Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 I bet we could solve the dilemma by giving each player a big number - much bigger even than the name tag. Just an idea. 1 3

Didn’t Jim Youngblood from the LA Rams (v. 1.0) actually have ‘Jim’ spelled out in smaller letters on his jersey?

The Real Buffalo Joe Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 (edited) They both look so much alike, I just don't know how we'd tell them apart. Edited April 23, 2019 by The Real Buffalo Joe 2 5 1

BuffaloBillies Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Marquez Valdes-Scantling plays for the Packers. But I don't think anyone else on the team has the same name.
