If it wasn't before, starting this topic confirms that I need to get a life.  If we were to somehow get Kentucky's Josh Allen in the draft:

  1. Has there ever been two players on the same NFL team, at the same time, with the same name?
  2. What names would be on the back of their jersey's?

Yes, at one point Cleveland had at least two (maybe 3) Andre Davises EDIT: it was 2002-2004, and there were only 2 of them.

Both players had "Davis" on the back of their uniform--the rule that required initials went by the wayside years ago.

Browns took them in the same draft as well:

Andre Davis in the 2nd round

Andra Davis in the 5th round

When we had 13 "Williams" on the team did they have initials?

Roy Williams, WR and Safety, both played for Dallas in 2008

That's right!  I believe they used middle initials that year to differentiate them.  Roy L Williams and... Roy C Williams maybe?

I bet we could solve the dilemma by giving each player a big number - much bigger even than the name tag. Just an idea.

Didn’t Jim Youngblood from the LA Rams (v. 1.0) actually have ‘Jim’ spelled out in smaller letters on his jersey?

They both look so much alike, I just don't know how we'd tell them apart.

This made me laugh out loud. I am at work, my co workers want to know why I was laughing.
