Well I'm upper-upper class high society
God's gift to ballroom notoriety
And I always fill my ballroom
The event is never small
The social pages say I've got
The biggest balls of all

They say your style of life's a drag
And that you must go other places
But just don't you feel too bad
When you get fooled by smiling faces but

Don't you worry 'bout a thing
Don't you worry 'bout a thing, mama
Cause I'll be standing on the side
When you check it out...Yeah
When you get it off...your trip
Don't you worry 'bout a thing...Yeah
Don't you worry 'bout a thing...Yeah

I've been working from seven to eleven every night
I said it kinda makes my life a drag
Lord, that ain't right, no no
Since I've been loving you
I'm about to lose my worried mind

Every night I lie in bed
The brightest colours fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
Oh a million dreams for the world we're gonna make

Every night I just wanna go out,
Get out of my head.
Every day I don't wanna get up,
Get out of my bed.
Every night I want to play out
And every day i wanna do-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh.
But tonight I just wanna stay in
And be with you-oo,
And be with you.

They say misery, loves company
We could start a company, and make misery
Frustrated, Incorporated
Well I know just what you need
I might just have the thing
I know what you'd pay to see

Put me out of my misery
I'd do it for you, would you do it for me
We will always be busy
Making misery

Frustrated women
Have to be in by twelve o'clock
But I'm a-wishin' and a-hopin'
That just once those doors weren't locked

I used to live in New York City
Everything there was dark and dirty
Outside my window was a steeple
With a clock that always said twelve thirty

Young girls are coming to the canyon
And in the mornings I can see them walkin'
I can no longer keep my blinds drawn
And I can't keep myself from talkin'

[Keeping the Lou Reed thing going...]

Then, one fine morning, she turns on a New York station
She doesn't believe what she hears at all
Ooh, she started dancin' to that fine, fine music
You know, her life was saved by rock 'n' roll

Well I'm a gonna raise a fuss, I'm gonna raise a holler
About working all summer just to try and earn a dollar
Everytime I call my baby, to try to get a date
My boss says, no dice, son, you gotta work late
Sometimes I wonder what I'm gonna do
'Cause there ain't no cure for the summertime blues

Posted

Now honey please, squeeze me tight
Don't you want your baby to feel alright
I said baby
Now it's for sure
I got the fever, yeah
And you got the cure

I took her home to my place
Watching every move on her face
She said " look, what's your game baby?
Are you tryin' to put me in shame?"
I said " slow don't go so fast,
Don't you think that love can last?"
She said " love, Lord above,
Now you're tryin' to trick me in love"
All right now baby, it's all right now
All right now baby, it's all right now
