Tiger has come back from the phony shunning he took for his selfish personal choices, there is no bigger bunch of hypocrites than rich golfers... and the injuries he had to fight back from. Good thing he is all about himself and didn't listen to the billions telling him he was through and mocking him the last attempts at comeback. Yup, Palmer early in his career and Watson late were far more beloved during their playing days. But people appreciate greatness and come to love those that have it once they begin to fade. Winning at 46 probably brought Jack more fans than he ever had. But it’s Watson who nearly had a win that would have beaten Jack/Tigers combined in The 2009 Open. That approach on 18 was one hop too long or he wins at age 59. Even in losing that’s one of most incredible feats ever.

Why can’t we just sit back and enjoy them the rare moments when they do happen. As for for the people who can’t enjoy this one, I just feel sorry for them. They missed out on a great moment. But hey, that’s their choice. We can, but it sure makes for compelling conversation around the bar. Talking about them in this way is part of the thrill of what we witnessed. If one can’t enjoy it, well I concur. It’s their choice, but a curmudgeonly one to be sure. 1

No denying all due love and respect and admiration for Jack's accomplishments and talent, but he's not a nice man, he's still prickly in his old age, but it's Jack! Lots of people in my life won't forgive him still for his work with restricted golf clubs during his career.
