McCabe apologized for misleading investigators on leak, transcripts show

By Gregg Re | Fox News

Former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe apologized for lying to federal investigators concerning an October 2016 leak to The Wall Street Journal about the Hillary Clinton email probe, newly released transcripts indicate -- underscoring McCabe's legal jeopardy as U.S. Attorney John Durham continues the Justice Department's criminal probe into bureau misconduct.

The transcripts specifically raised the possibility that McCabe, now a paid CNN commentator, could face a false statements charge similar to the one leveled against former national security adviser Michael Flynn. The account of McCabe's remarks was released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) inspector general (IG) because of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, D.C.

The IG concluded in 2018 that McCabe "lacked candor" when speaking to then-FBI Director James Comey and DOJ Oversight and Review (O&R) internal investigators about the leak to the Journal on May 9, 2017. In the transcripts, released Thursday, an unidentified O&R investigator asserted that McCabe had claimed "he did not grant anyone permission to divulge the information to the media" and that he "personally hadn't shared the information" or "granted anyone else permission to."

Just give him the same treatment that the FBI and DOJ gave to Flynn WRT prosecution. Flynn’s case was an entrapment setup. In McCabe’s case, he willingly screwed the pooch. Make him pay. He deserves to be ruined.

So the "Bipartisan" investigation allowed only two Republicans full access but when either contradicts The Narrative, they are labelled conspiracy theorists

James Comey Should Be Arrested

by Adam Mill

Original Article

In October 2016, and then on two subsequent occasions, then-FBI Director James Comey lied to the secret court overseeing warrants under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Full stop.

Here is that lie: I, the undersigned, having been designated as one of the officials authorized to make the certifications required by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978, as amended, do hereby certify with regard to the [redacted] requested in this verified application targeting Carter W. Page, an agent of the Government of Russia, a foreign power, as follows . . . The foreign intelligence information sought by the authorities requested herein cannot be reasonably obtained by normal investigative techniques.

Foolishness earns you cred here - "Soleimani has been dead since 2015"

Plus the Ohr, Comey, etc. thread would look even more foolish.

Report: Investigators looking into whether James Comey illegally leaked classified secrets

This news comes to us from the New York Times, and it’s not surprising that

1) James Comey is being investigated for leaking, and

2) the New York Times would choose to frame it in the way they did.

Check this out spin:

“An inquiry into years-old disclosures of classified information is highly unusual and leaves law enforcement officials open to accusations of politicizing their work.”

Yeah, that’s the real story here.  Here’s The Daily Wire’s take without the spin:

But let’s just let that slide, just like everything else connected to Hillary Clinton, because it’s “years old” and it would appear politically motivated to look into it — just like looking into the Bidens and Ukraine.
