Socialism fails every time

Recommended Posts

Solid opinion piece from the WSJ today. Bernie is probably going to win the nomination easily running away, with money, an already-established campaign, and early wins in Iowa, NH, and the newly moved-up CA, and thus be the first major party socialist nominee.

Trump will be woefully overmatched intellectually to combat this in a debate of ideas, which is too bad. But I hope others can take up the mantle in defense of capitalism.

WSJ opinion

This goes well with another piece crushing the government’s role in Tesla’s coming spectacular downfall.

“A report out last month from McKinsey [deep state three-fingered blood cult pizzagate warning]  tellsthe story: These cars cost an average of $12,000 more to produce than they can fetch in the marketplace. The role of regulation in causing this pileup “cannot be overstated,” the report adds, while proposing somewhat desperately that the industry try to save itself by “decontenting” its electric vehicles—that is, getting rid of every unnecessary frill and luxury, such as display screens, fancy seating, power windows or anything else that adds costs to what are essentially compliance vehicles.”

There's time, if he practices diligently to memorize this one question that will stump Bernie every time: "Hey Bernie Bro, how are you gonna pay for that"?

Though Bernie will not be the nominee, the person who will answer that question will say, "By repealing your massive tax give away to the wealthy."

Just exactly how are you going to raise 9.3 trillion dollars per year? Oh, reparations too?

Ha! Restoring my top end marginal tax rate down from 37.5% to 35% can hardly be called a massive tax give away. And maybe if you earned some money some day you’d wake up and realize that it’s YOUR money!

a) Trump won't say that, it's too complicated for him to remember

b) It will be a start, the give away to the wealthy is deeply unpopular and I do make government issued money

So, the money actually belongs to the government?

Let me get this straight. You believe your money belongs to the government because they own the print shop? In a word.... Yikes!

The government has the absolute right to tax. What part of that do you not understand?

Serious question and no I don’t support socialism, but has a socialist country ever existed that didn’t have to endure crippling sanctions?

It's not a serious question.  But try USSR and its satellites.

And the people have the responsibility to vote those in government into that role. Where exactly did your sixth grade teacher tell you the government got its authority from?

The will of the people is a funny thing, and while I personally think Bernie Sanders may be one of the biggest posers in history, he seems to appeal to some as a caricature candidate. NY accent, represent a small state Vt, disheveled appearance and catchy lines like "I don't want to hear about her damn emails!". Add to that the fact that his own party kneecapped him in 2016, maybe he gets the nod.  People will vote against their own self interest, especially when they are young and idealistic.

That said, he faces the same scrutiny as everyone else when he becomes THE guy. Let's take a deep dive into his background and business dealings, who he has associated with, what skeletons are in the closet and all his wife's business dealings.

That's when the fun starts.

Bernie will probably win a crowded race in Iowa, will win going away in NH, and with the new moved-up date in CA, he will win there.

No no one will stop that momentum. No one.

He’s the the only candidate with enough money and an established campaign network to be rolling in CA well before NH and Iowa conclude.

There may be others who hang on past CA, (Beto may because he could win TX) but the race will go from 30 to 4 real fast after the CA primary.

No way. Has he even released his taxes yet like he promised? He lost to Hillary and he will lose this race

He barely lost to Hillary when he had the entire deck stacked against him.

He has the money, a campaign already set, and will get off to a lead that no one will be able to catch. Beto is the only guy who may have a chance and no one even knows what he stands for. But oh, those teeth.

Trump vs. Sanders. Lucky us.
