canbuffan34 Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Well deserving... Bobby April 292246 You said it! Was that Buffalo vs. St.Louis game last year sweet or what for him, huh? To be able to stick it to the team that fired him as a scapegoat the year before like the ST's did! Makes you really happy for the guy.
Dan Gross Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 "Mad Mike" Martz has to be proud of the incompetent boob he fired. Congrats Bobby!
bobblehead Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 I'll be sure to e-mail one of those online thank you cards to Mike Martz.
Beerball Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 More proof that Mike Martz is a putz. Congratulations Bobby April, well deserved and way cool!
jarthur31 Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 We're going to need Coach April this year more than ever. Let's hope he can reproduce last year's magic.
IDBillzFan Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Presenting the award this year will be Georgia Frontiere...

/dev/null Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 More proof that Mike Martz is a putz. 292273 i think his decision in 2002 to sign LB Jaimie Duncan rather than resign London Fletcher is enough proof
Astrobot Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 April will be showered with his award on Tuesday in Reno, Nevada. Last time I got an award, it was given in the WXXI building in Rochester. Just another example of the privileged lot that is NFL.
R. Rich Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Yeah. Mad props to the homie. He's dope. Word. Out.
Dan Gross Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Yeah. Mad props to the homie. He's dope. Word.Out. 293198 fashizzle.
UConn James Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Just shows how much of an impact can be made when you devote some resources to the ST rather than leaving the backups to learn and fend for themselves. I mean this especially for London Fletcher's blocking and having Clements returning punts, which he did awesomely in college, iirc. DeHaven always seemed to rely heavily on Tasker and Pike to take care of things and it all fell apart when they were declining and retired. Wouldn't mind seeing a 2nd devoted to one particular further upgrade....

At some point the risk outweighs the reward.

At some point the risk outweighs the reward. 293218 Yeah, I have flashbacks to Jeff Burris when I watch punt returns, but that's like always using the bad china while the new set is in the attic. What's the point of having a guy like that if you're not going to use him where he can make a big impact? He can't get hurt on any given play at CB? Can't keep him preserved in amber, yaknow, and if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen.
