those are rare opportunities to attend!

wish i cared about my alma maters for sports...

Started going to the ECAC tourney when I was still a student in Ithaca.

Back in ‘91, when I lived in SF, Cornell played a football game at Stanford - some crazy idea the the respective Presidents concocted to celebrate Stanford's centennial and Cornell’s 125th. (Cornell co-founder A.D.White was the first president of Stanford).

Cornell didn’t convert a first down until the 4th quarter, when Stanford had all their scrubs in and probably felt sorry for us.  We lost 56-6, and started shouting, “OK, now let’s play hockey!”

curious if Americans prefer Canadian news stations more than i think...

I like it because it’s on late at night.  I’m usually busy at 6 o’clock when our national news is on.

Also, I think those of us who live on the border enjoy viewing how our Northern neighbors perceive us.  Plus, they’re fair and balanced, I think.

I think Canadian news is a little more bland and neutral than the US currently.....  not boasting or anything like that.

Well you’ve said it right - I prefer bland and neutral to CNN’s blatant liberalism, FOX’s flagrant ‘Fair and Balanced’ conservatism, and everyone else's ridiculous sensationalism.

As always, JMHO.

I lean a little towards the FOX side, a red tory Canadian is conservative on $$ and a little soft on social issues, not intending a PPP discussion here, I'm already well established over there...

Yes, my bad.  I’m a card carrying member of the RNC and the NRA, but we’ll keep that stuff on PPP, where it belongs.

Hockey’s the longest grind to take the title

takes a a lot of talent and health and luck along the way

finishing tops in the regular season doesn’t help you, I think 8th place won it all a few years ago?

Good use of the Beastie Boys in celebration

very good!!!

I'm all too familiar with the Kings. They have made me miserable pretty often. Working the Sharks when down 3-0 a few years back was a hockey fan low for me

okay, must have been fun to watch them score 6 goals a game and get nowhere at all

Love the over for the B’s Leafs. Should be lots  of whistles, an energized Matthews and company against a banged up Bruins D. Muzzin is the only physical Leaf left without Kadri. Anderson can’t keep playing at the level he has.

Kadri just can't seem to get out of his own way. Leafs need all the grit they can get their hands on. Kadri really screwed them.

Apparently the Leafs have more grit than we think. They were knocking around the Bruins all night. Never seen them finish so many checks.

The Bs are a tricky opponent, they carefully parse out the games when they want to try and then hit you with brutal force and easily win

and then they come out with a reenactment of Ice Capades and don't seem to care all that much.

Against the Canucks they pulled the ultimate and possumed away the 3 games in Vancouver and tried for the 3 in Boston, losing by one when they yawned and clotheslining when they tried

then came out and knocked the living pus out of Vancouver, who thought it was easy pickings..... to take the Cup.
