My introduction to Schein was his role as host of Inside the NFL on Showtime

Same. But to be fair some guys are far better in print than they are on radio/TV/podcast....unless your Sully.......

Schein was highly critical of their decision to start Peterman last year. So he has some cred with me based on that.

I've always thought highly of Schein.  He says a lot of things people don't want to hear, but at the end of the day, a lot of his predictions are spot on.  I distinctively remember last year before the season started, he said something along the lines of our Bills starting the absolute worst QB in the league ala Nate Peterman.  As much as I didn't want to hear that, he was dead right.  Good or bad, Schein actually knows what he is talking about.

He’s always loved the Bills. I think he went to Syracuse.

As did about 75% of ESPN's broadcasters.  Syracuse isn't a Bills hotbed.

If Schein keeps this up, he's going to become Bills Mafia's most beloved sports analyst since Chris Berman. Schein is ALWAYS saying nice things about the Bills these days. He's like a closet Bills Booster. Went to school in Syracuse, which I suspect has something to do with his WNY love.

He's a NYC guy who is actually a Giants and Yankees fan. I first saw him on 'Loudmouths' on SNY. I have always liked him but I get why some people don't. He can be a little flamboyant and over the top but he's a straight shooter. He did rightfully criticize the Bills for the Rex Ryan hire and said that Rex would be fired within two years. He has also shown the Bills love and always refers to Buffalo/Orchard Park as "lovely Western New York" and he openly called out the Buffalo bashers after the AB situation as ignorant and childish. He's not afraid to express his opinions and he seems like a good guy regardless of what he may or may not say about the Bills.

He never says anything bad about the Bills.  He is the one national media guy who loves us.  He used to talk about Dick Jauron being a coach of the year.  He must have gotten lucky one time in Buffalo.

He thought Rex was a buffoon.

I like that he's two for two in his Cinderella picks, having picked Jacksonville in 2017 and Chicago last season. I hope he goes three for three with the Bills.

Oh no, he was for sure right. Soon as Rex was out, he got back on board.

It’s definitely possible but I think they are a year away from true contention (winning in the playoffs and by that I mean more than one game) and by then the Cinderella moniker won’t apply. People are always looking for the outlier and want to be able to say I told you so.

It honestly shouldn't surprise anyone if the Bills make the playoffs this year.

1.  We literally made the playoffs two seasons ago.

2.  We have won between 6-9 games every year since 2010 (eight years in a row).

This team has the reputation of being a garbage franchise.  But in reality, we've been on the Wild Card doorstep for most of the last decade.

The idea that Cleveland has suddenly become an AFC favorite is much crazier than expecting us to win 9-10 this year.
