eball Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 This is a parody thread so some of you will not enjoy it. I encourage you to stop reading at this point. You know who you are. So what do the Bills do in the draft, in particular in the first three rounds where they’re the likeliest to land starters for the immediate season? There is one (and only one) school of thought: Beane must improve the worst ST in the league last season by drafting a gunner, a two-man wedge specialist, and a punter during the first three rounds of the draft. You may debate whether Beane should go punter first or not -- I think this is a critical position that can pay immediate dividends in field position since the offense has not been adequately addressed and we can expect to see a plethora of 3-and-outs. So if we go punter in the first, that leaves gunner and wedge specialist for rounds two and three. My analysis of the draft pool leads me to believe Beane will be able to find immediate impact players in both areas. 7 1 3

maryland-bills-fan Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 What other position moves the ball reliably as many yards as the punter and KO player?

You can get a perfectly good punter on day two. 2
buffaloboyinATL Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 Finally! a thread I can get behind. We can trade down until we have all of the picks in the 7th round and build the best special teams unit ever. 1 2 1

cage Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 If he follows your thinking then he should be able to get the best player available at each of those positions of need... 1

Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 (edited) If Chuckie and his boss can corner the market on QBs, I say we focus the Bills’ draft on special teams. I suggest they look for guys with crazy nicknames, or the ones who crush beer and soda cans on their foreheads...FULL CANS!!! Edited April 3, 2019 by Ridgewaycynic2013 Soda!!! Not ‘sofa’!!! ?
Alphadawg7 Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 I think if we are going to truly evaluate these ST guys, especially for the first 3 rounds, that we need to bring in more for private workouts and let them show the FO how well they can jump through tables. If you cant master the table smash, then day 3 only for you. Land a beauty, maybe say while table is on fire, then we talking day 1 or day 2 status. #NoPosersAllowed 1 1
Steve Billieve Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 I say we draft a punter in the first every year until we finally land our franchise punter. 1 1 1
oldmanfan Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 Trade down, and get both your punter and kicker day 1 and 2. The problem though is they have to come into the league knowing everything ever known about their positions because players never learn anything after being drafted. Just like Tasker's Ghost's quarterbacks.
Just Joshin' Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 If you want to seem legit, it needs to be McBeane in the title.
