The Poojer
While on the surface, I am not in favor of cuts to programs like this, but what is not being reported is that these are budget negotiation tactics and not actual set in stone budget cuts, and in fact the Director admits that they will get rejected. Yet all media outlets and liberal fanatics are acting as if these cuts have been put in place. And there is not reasoning with them because a lot of them live in a 'yeah, but if it does happen' kind of world. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/devos-defends-billions-in-education-spending-cuts-to-skeptical-house-democrats/2019/03/26/9a0c7a38-4ff3-11e9-88a1-ed346f0ec94f_story.html Quote DeVos responded that she was forced to make difficult decisions to control spending, but appeared to be realistic about her chances. “This reduction is similar to last year’s request, and the year before that, as well. I acknowledge that you rejected those recommendations,” she said.
Nanker
Remember - any reduction in the rate of regular increases to any taxes is a tax cut. Furthermore, it's a tax cut for the RICH. And one other thing. Tax cuts are evil if they're "not paid for." #LEFTISTSWHOWANTYOURMONEYANDTHEYWANTITNOW!

It's simple, pay for the tax cuts with tax increases.
Nanker
But only raise taxes on the Russian colluders. That could pay for a Green New Dealership in a city as large as Chicago. Edited March 27, 2019 by Nanker
row_33
20 or so years ago for Canada a women's hurdler bit the dust on the first hurdle in the Olympic Final, and was paired as "athlete of the year" with a Special Olympian who won a lot during the award ceremony the SO questioned why the hurdler deserved to share the prize because she choked in her big event... Tiberius
Wow, cutting special olympics is their negotiating tactic? Holding these kids hostage to knock down the budget they massively increased? Scum bags
