Highway department says they do not schedule special pickups and will only take 40-50 lbs per week curbside. The old deck was 230 SQ ft pressure treated lumber so it would take forever to get rid of it that way. Can't burn because of stain and chemicals. Looking to unload somewhere for free as I struggle morally to pay for something i'm getting rid of. Anyone have a similar experience or a woodchuck I could borrow? Highway Dept policy might be 50 lbs a week, I bet none of the workers pay attention to it. They just want to get rid of what's out there and not have anyone call in and complain. At least that's my experience with the waste management during the fall, they never leave any bags of leaves no matter how far over the limit. Wouldn't hurt to wait for the pick up, give the workers a hand, buy them lunch.
mead107 Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Put it out by the street and put a sign on it FREE
snafu Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Tie them into 50 pound bundles and put one bundle with each of your neighbors' trash one late night.
