I get that the league has stretched it out like they have in order to keep the game relevant/talked about during the off-season but we don't need 3 months of speculation and scouting reports and yaddah yaddah yah. Teams typically have their boards set by February. They might make a few minor adjustments here and there, based on the Combine and player meetings but for the most part, they're set and ready to roll early in the year. I'd be for it going down in the first weekend of April, bump it up by 3-4 weeks at least. We'll see, I guess. Seems like the league is listening when enough teams speak up on the changes they wanna see.

I think about a month between the two is about right. 1

Allen can chip in with 800 yards I would much rather not see that many yards on the ground from our QB- 800 yards is a recipe for injury and signifies the offense has broken down. 1

He is an outstanding and nasty run blocker who consistently gets to the second level and seals off lanes for his running back. He has very good short area quickness for those counter plays that Daboll loves to run and he is a finisher. Great size, good solid base in pass pro, he has occasionally got a bit grabby but he has allowed very few sacks in his NFL career. Part of that is he has a fantastic feel for when the pocket is about to move or the Quarterback is about to escape and he is excellent at re-directing rushers to create escape lanes. Go and watch some of Mariota's long runs his first two years.... the man who senses the play is breaking down and his QB needs an escape route is Quinton Spain, again and again and again. He is one of the least heralded and most underrated players in the league. He was absolutely my #1 FA target for this team. I am not just very excited I am absolutely delighted the Bills have managed to get him. Given that it is a one year prove it deal it shouldn't preclude us from looking for interior help in the draft but for me that is now a development high ceiling guy rather than a guy you need to be an instant starter. Nice report! I am going to go watch the film.

McDermott) then that would seem to be the case at this point. But if they draft a highly regarded LT prospect(Tytus Howard?) in the first 3 rounds I could still see them moving Dawkins inside and letting Nsekhe place hold at his best position as the LT. I hope they don't select a RT in the first round though.........that would be drought-Billsy. It would be reasonable to draft a LT to replace the guy who gave up 8 sacks and struggled last year though..........you can have an otherwise solid line but if your LT can't hold up in pass pro that makes it hard on a young QB who is best suited to pushing the ball downfield. I agree and see OBD taking a Tytus Howard at OT on day 2 and maybe Dru Samia at G on Day 3 and have them backup at OT and OG yr 1. 1

When there are no "free" jobs, everyone of these guys will either bring 110% and perform or be cut. I love it. 2

He has been a borderline dominant player but played behind 2 early picks (one of whom is an All-Pro). Nsekhe is our best OT now. He’s just old. He’s probably a 2-3 year solution. He signed a two year deal. To play longer than that, Beane will need to decide that a 35 year old (turns 36 in the middle of the 2021 season) player is worth extending, probably for more money.
26TrapDraw Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 Ok then.lets hear our projected starting 5. Their positions and why...go

Giving LG to Spain based on his experience there, flipping Teller to RG as I think he has a chance to earn a starting spot if he improved over the off-season. Dawkins at LT and Nsekhe on the right until a better option is added to the roster. Spencer Long as the primary interior backup, both center and guard. Jon Feliciano as a backup guard. La'Adrian Waddle as the swing tackle. Keep one more somewhere if you feel it absolutely necessary, but I'd prefer they keep 8 instead of 10 like last season. Edited April 3, 2019 by JM57 1
TOboy Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 6 minutes ago, BeefCurtns said: Ok then.lets hear our projected starting 5. Their positions and why...go Lots of time for things to change, but I'd say Morse is locked in at Centre, and Spain is very likely the Left Guard. I'll go with Dawkins staying at LT (keep the younger guy who's likely a long term piece happy) and Nsekhe to RT. RG is anybody's guess, but since you're asking I'm going with Teller to win the job. 1
quincy Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 LT Dawkins LG Spain OC Morse RG Long RT ? Nsekhe looks to be ready to start now Left Tackle but because of his age he might only retain the swing tackle role he had in Washington, especially if Jawaan Taylor or Cody Ford are drafted in round 1. If the goal is to draft the biggest, meanest line then I think it should be Nsekhe-Spain-Morse-Feliciano-Ford and no Dawkins. I wonder if there will be a genuine camp battle for LT? From the film I have seen Nsekhe looked very impressive and Dawkins may not want to play Right Tackle and Buffalo already has plenty of Guards.
JerseyBills Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 Wow I Love this signing!! Basically a lock to be starting LG come week 1 , HUGE improvement over last year, especially with another huge upgrade in Morse next to him at C. Dawkins will also benefit significantly from this signing . 18- Dawkins/Vlad(Teller)/Bodine/Miller/Mills 19- Dawkins/Spain/Morse/?/Ty Morse alone is going to make everyone around him better. Pre draft this is a massive improvement over last years line . They're really putting Allen in a great position to make a huge leap in year 2 . 1
