John from Riverside Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 So....just a what if post What if the bills draft say Jawann Taylor (OT) in the first....what if they trade down in the first....aquire a additional 2nd and take Hockinson What 3 tech DT's (that could make an immediate impact) do you think would be available in the 2nd round? 2
YoloinOhio Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 Tillery is a possibility to be there. Dremont Jones should be there. 1
Dopey Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 If we don't take one in the 1st, would wait until the 4th or 5th rounds for someone like D. Christmas(FSU) or Renell Wren(Arizona St.). We have other needs that I think could be better addressed in rd 2 like OL, TE and LB. JMO
ndirish1978 Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 Tillery and Jones are probably the best 3 techniques who are going in the 2nd in mocks right now. Daniel Wise is a decent mid-round option.
YoloinOhio Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 (edited) I don’t have access to Cover 1 archetypes but they did a big article about Tillery and how he fits the Bills prototype athletically at that position. Astro also said they scouted ND live 3x. Edited March 21, 2019 by YoloinOhio
H2o Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 (edited) I would take Tillery. Kid was a monster last year for the Irish. Edited March 21, 2019 by H2o 1
glazeduck Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 Tillery and Jeffrey Simmons would be names to watch in the 2nd. Past that, I really like Khalen Saunders in the 4th 1

I have a feeling he could go end of 1st - what could drop him to 2nd is he recently had surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder and it will set him back. Also (don’t shoot the messenger) there are concerns about how much he is focused on football because he’s “really smart and into books” (eye roll)
N.Y. Orangeman Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 I'd take a hard look at trading back into the 1st is Simmonds slid into 20s.
Logic Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 Unless someone unexpected falls, I don't love the DTs that are expected to be available in the 2nd round. I believe they should either spend the 9th pick on a DT, or sign a veteran and draft a DT in the middle rounds and then re-assess the position next year.
RyanC883 Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 I'd like Tillery in the 2nd, and Wise from KU later in the draft.

I think it was a similar surgery. Tillery had it last month i think. Aligns to the point they said he would be ok for TC Edited March 21, 2019 by YoloinOhio 1

With the torn ACL in his preseason workout Jeffery Simmons could still be sitting there and I'd take a chance at him.

somnus00 Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 I love Simmons. I think he'll drop further than people think.
947 Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 Tillery in the 2nd after Jawaan Taylor/Dillard in the 1st is our best case scenario. I'd love this.
