Another Fan Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 So here's where I'm going with that question. I don't live in Buffalo/WNY so it's not all that common to find Bills fans/supporters by me. Every few months I might catch someone with the Bills decal on their car or someone wearing a shirt. At work last week I noticed someone wearing a Bills cap last week so I immediately went out of my way to ask if he was a fan. His first response was, "I know they are a bad team and it's embarrassing but yes". I went on to try to explain to him I was a fan myself to which he apologized. Had to go to a meeting so I couldn't shoot the breeze with him too long but just finished saying hopefully Josh puts the pieces together this year. I guess I could understand the sentiments to some extent. Being a Bills fan certainly hasn't exactly been easy 1 1
pepsicat17 Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 No - never. Proud to wear my colors and rep my team no matter what. 27 2 1
Rigotz Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Why would you be ashamed to continue to support a team through all the tough times? If anything, it shows character to continue to support the Bills. 18 1
Pete Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 ***** no! I rock Bills gear in New England almost daily! And if I ever see someone with Bills gear on, I always go and meet them. 9
teef Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 of course not. i even have my kids draped in bills gear. it's pathetic to think that anyone is actually embarrassed to wear bills gear, but i guarantee there are a few on this board who are. 1
Captain Murica Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Nope, usually always have a Bills hat when I go to the gym. As well as when I go to Mets game usually rock a Mets shirt/jersey with a Bills hat.
golfball323 Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 no, man. The team are the only ones allowed to be embarrassed. I'm perfectly happy with everything in my life and that includes rooting for a perennial loser to get better. If somebody has problem with that they have a bigger problem... 1
ProcessAccepted Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Proud to wear Bills stuff. Always amazed by how many people comment on it. Buffalo is kinda like that Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game, seems like everyone has a tie to the WNY or the team. 5
LeviF Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Hell no. I rarely wear team/sports gear out and about but when I do it's always Bills or Sabres. 1
Pete Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 One good thing about sucking for 20 years is that there are no front running Bills fans. If you see someone with Bills gear on, you know they are a real fan. You catch so much ***** wearing a Bills hat in some areas. Bring it on. I wear it proudly 5
BuffAlone Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 I've lived up and down the east coast. I wear my gear pretty much daily. Get alot of comments, and see more fellow fans than expected, but never embarrassed. Proud to be a true fan, and not a bandwagon fan. And when we finally win the big one, its gonna mean a lot more to those who have stayed true over the bad times 2
RyanC883 Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 not at all. Actually, down here in PGH, there are a decent number of Bills fans. I always go out of my way to talk to someone wearing Bills gear. But don't worry, in a few years when we win back to back SB's, everyone will have it on. Enjoy the novelty while it lasts ! 1
BritBill Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Never! I run in a Bills t-shirts. Wear a cap and hat when out and about. I always wear a piece of Bills clothing when going to the games at Wembley each year. 1
Jauronimo Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 I always wear Bills gear when I'm traveling. Pretty sure I got "randomly" selected to go through the 6 levels of O'Hare security this past weekend because of my Bills hoodie. Either that or the vomit on my shoes set off the metal detector and bomb scan. 2 1
PaattMaann Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Absolutely proud. Anytime I travel I be sure to rock my Bills hats/shirts, and always find fellow fans along the way. 1
