The O-line was this bad last year, yet the Saints would pay a 2nd rounder for Bodine?

Homerism can make one perceive reality in a very erroneous manner.

With Morse’s concussion history I’m hesitant to do that in case Long ends up starting at one of the Guard spots and can’t back him up

Spencer can play center also

I'd do it for a 4th, no problem. A 2nd would be unbelievable and I think Saints fans would view their GM as a deplorable with slight to immense psychological issues.

That’s who I was referring to - Spencer Long. If he earns a starting G spot, we will still need someone to be ready to back up at C given Morse’s concussion history

We have backup guards though

Not a great idea to pull a starting G and move to C. Then you are disrupting 2 positions on the line instead of one.

This is true but maybe worth the pick

Bodine was not terrible but he is not worth more than a 5th round pick. He is more valuable as a backup for Buffalo than what they would get in return. Now if they offered a 3rd round pick I make the trade

Long was one of the worst centers in the league last year.  My bet is he wins one of the starting guard spots but if Teller improves, Long will be in a battle for the other spot.

I think they will have him fill the Groy space backing up all three interior positions.  Bodine will probably be gone because there is no flexibility in what positions he can play

How many concussions has Morse had?  Is this a recurring issue?

Shirley.  They weren't being serious.
