Tipster19 Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 I just saw on twitter Gore’s Buffalo number being 21. I wonder if that’s accurate and if so how it went down.
BruceVilanch Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 Sign of respect for a HoF player. I get it. 3
Freddie's Dead Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 Typically the player wanting the number will part with some do-re-mi or a nice present for the player giving up the number. 1
The Bills Blog Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 I'd be surprised. He wore #23 in Indy. It's just a 1-year deal. 1

machine gun kelly Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 That’s between Poyer and Gore. In the past, teams have allowed the two players to work it out. Sometimes the Gore type player would give $ or a gift, but not required. Sometimes the younger player gives up his number out of respect, which is what I’m guessing happened with Poyer. It actually speaks to Poyer’s character. 2 1

He seems like that type of guy
JoeF Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 I wonder if Thurman would consider offering Gore #34.. 2
BarleyNY Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 It would surprise me that an adult would really care about the number on their uniform. I know it happens, but it still surprises me. I’m guessing they haven’t even begun to worry about who is wearing what number. Lots of moves to be made. I’d think Poyer would keep his number since he was here before Gore and will be here after him. On a side note, I hope Gore gets at least 4 TDs this season so he hits the century mark for his career.

Bing Bong Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 nbd but it's Poyer's number to give away. Wouldn't care if he threw a bone to a 1 year deal guy or not. 1
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 I’ll guess Gore goes 22. In between his other 2 and it’s available
