Average running backs are a dime a dozen. Above average to good running backs, not so much. You definitely don’t take one in the first 2 rounds. Rounds 3-6 are the sweet spot for a RB. I’m all for taking one in the 3rd. If you look at the good RB’s in the league, most were actually drafted. The only notable exception is Phillip Lindsay, but we will see if he can replicate his freshman season.

Your opinion - I think we can agree to disagree......behind a DECENT O-line an RB picked 5th or 6th round should do more than acceptable.  I just think RIGHT NOW their priorities should be O-Line future and D-line backups/future.....my $0.02 - I can get your reasoning - it is sound but I would like to see the lines addressed before skill positions.

I'm warming up to Devin Singeltary(RB-FAU) being the RB I want us to draft. Even if we may have to draft him in the 3rd to ensure that. Feel like 4th Rd would be ideal though

This would have been a great haul a week ago. You really think they go offense heavy? Particularly early?

I think they are going Best Player Available no matter what.  That is what the UFA period really just set up.  So I tool that philosophy into that Mock

Gotcha. I just don't see any way we draft a C that high after signing Morse. JMO

I would Morse with the Concussions, and allows McCoy to learn as well maybe even slide into OG.  And then if those Concussions limit Morse Career you have a young Center to groom.

I like the OL Signings as well this UFA but none of them with the exception of Morse scream long term starter and I still think youth needs to be added all along the OL.  And to be honest there wasn't really anyone I liked in that rd round pick to make me not take McCoy (in real life I would have tried to trade down)

Just did a very similar one on TDN:

9 DK Metcalf, WR

Mississippi

40 Jeffery Simmons

, IDL

Mississippi State

74 Michael Deiter

, OT

Wisconsin

112

Darrell Henderson

, RB

Memphis

131

Nate Davis

, IOL

Charlotte

147

Isaac Nauta

, TE

Georgia

158

Derrek Thomas

, CB

Baylor

181

Anthony Nelson

, EDGE

Iowa

225

Hunter Renfrow

, WR

i don't think we have the luxury of a 2nd for simmons who will likely miss his rookie season.

I have two three round Mocks in my head.

1.  D.K Metcalf

2.  Jerry Tillery

3.  Trade up Dalton Risner

2nd Mock

1.  Ed Oliver

2.  A.J Brown

3.  Trade up Michael Deiter

What if we sign Ziggy Ansah today and Draft Metcalf at #9 instead?

9 - DK Metcalf, WR
Ole Miss

40 - Jeffery Simmons, DT
Mississippi State

74 - Rock Ya-Sin, CB
Temple

112 - David Montgomery, RB
Iowa State

131 - Anthony Johnson, WR
Buffalo

147 - Chuma Edoga, OT (move to Guard)
USC

158 - Anthony Nelson, DE
Iowa

181 - Max Scharping, OT
Northern Illinois

225 - Jalen Hurd, WR
Baylor

228 - Bryce Love, RB

Dont see the Bills taking a woman beater with a recently reconstructed ACL anywhere in the draft.

This is very realistic. I like it. Or even trade up in the 2nd for G, Chris Lidstrom - Boston College

After all the FA signings, the most glaring area of need is LB. I believe they'll draft at least two. No one here seems to be picking any.

THIS

With all of the free agent moves it gives us a great chance to get some talent at LB that can spell LorAx and Matt.

We need front 7 help in a big way, we gave up a lot of short passes and were gashed on run plays too much last year, and a lot of that were LBs getting caught off guard.  I think things will improve some this year as Edmunds learns.
