That means no one who knows him, including our coach and GM, were willing to commit long term. I am going to trust that this means they were not convinced this would be a good move for the Bills.
CEN-CAL17 Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Trade down and grab Jonah, Jawaan or if it’s in the 20-32 grab Dalton. But at #9 I think TJ, Sweat, Jacobs, Oliver or Gary are in play.....
BuffaloRebound Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Probably means he wouldn’t have passed a physical. 1
IgotBILLStopay Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Clearly he did not convince the Bills' medical staff that he deserved a longer term deal. Makes the Nysekhe signing look so much better. All in all, Beane has hit pretty well this off-season. Now just hoping Mich Morse stays healthy.

I don't disagree with this, but would say I'd have liked to have given him the prove it deal.

rodneykm Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 I hate to hear this. Like many of you, I'll be stunned if OT isn't one of the 1st two picks in the draft.
Chandler#81 Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Good for him. I didn’t see him as much of an improvement over Mills. ‘The Devil you know’ kind of thing..
Iamkrgr Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Was hoping we'd sign him so we can use our draft capital on other positions. We still can but I'd guess we use a pick in the first 2 rounds on a OT. I'm still hoping we sign 1 more G.
eball Posted March 13, 2019 Author Posted March 13, 2019 With that deal there must still be significant injury concerns. No harm, no foul. It's not as if the Bills really wanted him and got outbid.

frogger Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 A 1 year 7 million dollar deal for Williams...I have to feel we could have done better than that.
Laughing Coffin Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 He said in January that re-signing with the Panthers would mean a lot to him. He clearly wanted to remain there, and that was his 1st and only option in his mind.
