Anybody have any tips on the best way to get from either downtown Toronto or Pearson Airport to Buffalo?

So far I've looked at the Greyhound and Amtrak. Both look fairly painless.

For information I don't want to hire a car.

Thanks.

‘Best’ can cover a multitude of options.  It depends how many times you want to change modes of transportation, how quickly, how scenic a trip, how much you want to spend.  UP from YYZ to Union Station, GO Train to Niagara Falls (limited service), with Niagara Airbus taking you the rest of the way is one option, Niagara Airbus can also run you entire distance. Where in Buffalo is also somewhat of a consideration.

I haven’t noted any aside from charters of ‘puddle jumpers’.  I think there is/was one smaller service running Niagara District (St. Catharines) to YTZ (Toronto City / Billy Bishop).

why don't you want to "rent" a car?

It gives you so much more freedom than relying on public transportation.

One thing to remember is that there is no customs pre-clearance in Toronto.

For the train, it will stop at Niagara Falls for two hours while customs people go through the train to question everyone. You sit in your seat for the entire time.

For the bus, everyone will need to disembark the bus and grab their luggage and stand outside the bus with their luggage while being interviewed by customs people. Rain or snow doesn't matter.

Be sure to fill out the I-94 online and prepay. That way, it only requires a signature at  the border.

My ex didnt want to drive from buffalo to toronto because "it would take too long". She bought a pretty expensive flight with out looking at the stops. She took a tour of the east coast and two of her lay overs were over 2 hours.

I laughed at her for weeks about it.

Its 100 miles away.  At 65mph.  Huh?

I had a co-worker that had a wife from I

England (I know, low-brow Swindon). 0ne time her family came to visit.  Landed at Chicago O'Hare. First thing they wanted to do:  Drive to DisneyWorld. And two... Were amazed at "How many trees there were in the United States."

Holy Moly do You Brits have any concept of distance?  Wow two extremes there.  100 miles being "too far" and taking a day trip, drive to Orlando, Florida from Illinois. I think my co-worker said: "Do you Blokes take a day trip from London to Rome for a Sunday drive?"

Which of course there are no direct flight.  Most Canadians DRIVE to Niagara Falls airport to catch the routine, daily 2am flight to Fort Canadadale, Florida.

LMAO... Sorry for being so damn snarky.
