thunderingsquid Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 The Jets will be in cap hell for a long time. Feels good.

Panthers defense, Patriots offense.... You just described an NFL offense. Good job.

I hope the Jets dropped a boatload on him like Mosley. Might be homer glasses but I think Beane has done a much better job than the clown in Jersey (who probably shouldn’t even have one) and is now spending profusely to try and make up for his shortcomings. i'm thinking 2 years at most before the jets are in cap hades. by year 3 they will be dropping these same players and rebuilding. until then, BLITZ.
White Linen Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 He lost a ton of money in exchange for the security of not getting injured on a one year deal (franchise tag) - coupled with rejecting the Steelers offer.
Iamkrgr Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Lots of money but a good move for the Jets. They lost out on a pretty big piece in Paradis earlier today. Bell could be a scary piece for them.

Way more than the 17 milion guranteed Pittsburgh apparantly offered. He still passed on $14.5 million last year so it may be close to a wash.
Turk71 Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Was hoping they would give him 18 per. Will be interesting to see how he does there, doesn't really seem too scary to me for some reason.

Turk71 Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 With 35 guaranteed that would be 17.5 avg if they walk away after 2 yrs
BillsFan17 Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Thats pretty impressive for the Jets. No doubt they are going to be a very good team in the near future here.

Logic Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Mike McCagnan is a garbage GM. He gave out huge money to a running back and an off-ball linebacker. His draft picks, other than Darnold, have been mediocre to poor. Adam Gase already had an undisciplined team with no identity in Miami, and now he's bringing the ***** show to New Jersey. Color me unimpressed with everything about the Jets OTHER than Sam Darnold, who I like. 1

Virgil Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 After all that, he’s still not the highest paid and he gave up last years salary. What a dope
