100DollarBills Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Line up Bell and Shady in the backfield. Fake handoff too Shady and dump it off to Bell or fake dump it Bell and hit a WR deep.

Bell is a lethal RB who can burn you with his legs and his catching ability which is great but he is a RB who waits for a hole to open before he hits it and we have nowhere near that OL... Yet. Yes there is the draft but filling those positions with rookies can sometimes work but most of the time it's a learning process in year 1, just my opinion though, I'd love Bell on the Bills but the OL would need more tweaking. The OL needs at least one more FA regardless of whether or not we sign Bell. Likely a FA and a high draft pick. 1

They were all actually really good players They were absolutely good players but it shows the following: - 2 headed monster running back combinations don't necessarily work. You need a feature guy and a change of pace guy - Money shouldn't be invested in two highly paid running backs. There are too many other needs on the team (as there were in each of those three scenarios) and when they go unaddressed, it doesn't matter who's at RB.

We are nto paying a RB huge money for 25% workload. He will be replaced, possibly packaged in a deal soon IMO

atlbillsfan1975 Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 The only way i am a fan is if it is a four year deal that the Bills can get out of in 3 years without a huge cap hit. Running back is a position that premiere players can be found in the second, third, and even fourth round. I would be more accepting of a wide receiver getting over paid than a running back.
buffaloboyinATL Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 I cannot see this actually happening, and if it did it is a pure luxury move, but damn would it change the team. If we were to get Bell, fix the Oline and add a receiver or 2 in the draft? Damn!

I get it and, forgiving the repetitiveness, it can be structured appropriately: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/oakland-raiders/trenton-brown-16970/

Considering cap space is not a primary concern at the moment (and a contract could be front loaded to make it less of a concern through the life of it) and we've got JA on a rookie contract for 4 more years, I would much rather give Bell ~$16 mil than Tyrell Williams ~$13 mil. 6

Amen. The incredible part is we could actually sign both if there was a match.

100DollarBills Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 (edited) I’m perfectly fine paying top dollar to put Bell and Shady on this team for this year. It allows Allen to mature another year, gives us another year to find WRs for Allen and gives the new OL time to gel together. Edited March 12, 2019 by 100DollarBills
