Personally I feel politics has no place for the forums.. everyone has opinions and the right them on this subject WITHOUT getting bashed over it. Can this be moved please?

Oh, for now it's just harmless fun.

Trump is an embarrassment to a position that should hold a very high standard. Unfortunately many short sighted people seem to resonate with the bigotry and hatred that he spreads and even support a wall (which will do nothing as most of the gang members/drug smugglers already use underground tunnels) The climate needs to be addressed, the people need to be taken care of but this schmuck only wants to sow discontent and chaos because he enjoys it.

It's a darn good thing he didn't buy the bills, can you imagine? You think players don't want to come here now....

Not when he lied about his net worth and is President now. Still don't know how that happened.  Can't get most jobs without experience, I guess President doesn't apply.

Just curious, when has there ever been a President who was elected to their first term that had previous experience being the President?  Hum....?

The President is still a very important figure in his demeanor.  If you have a guy that pushes hate and lies, what do you think the American people are going to do? Too many uneducated people in this country that are played like puppets.

This isn’t the right board for answering your question. However, I agree with each of your other statements, and I will add that you can make those statements and ask that question about every President. Some are loud and brash, and some deliver their message in much more subtle ways.

New York is a disgusting, un-American State. Insane taxes. Toll roads everywhere. An unconstitutional disregard for the 2nd amendment. Ever increasing budgets. It’s an awful state and every New Yorker need only look in the mirror to figure out why. This is just another BS witch hunt by socialists.

A couple of thoughts:

1) I don't know the level of coordination, but I'm guessing this is being done so as to ensure there are state-level charges in place when the boy leaves office.  As we all know (by now)  these charges are outside the scope of a Presidential pardon.  It makes me smile a little bit to think the Bills could be the reason Donald Trump finally gets his *%&# caught in a mousetrap.  Side note - I wouldn't be surprised if we see additional state-level charges from other venues like Virginia and Florida and the like.  All for the same purpose.

2) To echo a poster above, thank heavens Trump didn't buy the Bills.  It would have been all bunting, and flashbulbs, and confetti and hoopla out front...and in the back room, we'd have Allan Weisselberg mopping his brow as he tries to figure out how to make payroll and cover the note to Deutsche Bank this month.  Everything would have been leveraged to the hilt.  I read a number of the comments yesterday about the Raiders' cash flow situation - this would have made the Raiders look like Fort Knox.  Good luck trying to renew ANY contracts.  Thank heavens for Terry Pegula.

I don't know about your football knowledge but there are no bunts allowed in the NFL.

Or maybe his whole plan was to turn everything upside down and show the deep state not only exists, but has controlled American politics for way too long?

Embarrassment could be stated for Benghazi, Nafta, Obama care, Clinton foundation, Iran deal, negotiating with Terrorists to swap for kidnapped American citizens, etc, etc. You can't burn it all down, but you can slowly drain it. Im not a Trump puppet, but this just seems like politics as usual. Difference being is Trump isn't part of the clique, so everyone hates him and are so bitter to the fact that he won, they will never stop spending tax payer money to try and oust him.

Have you traveled outside of New York?

There are Toll roads everywhere you go.  Try driving around DC and Baltimore.

There is a toll road that charges $6 for 15 miles, then the same road continues on with a new set of tolls at Dulles Airport leading into DC.

Corporations and, in turn, political parties running the country for the gain of small minority.  Anyone thinking this is democracy has simply fallen victim to the political machine's propaganda.  It's an oligarchy, no doubt about it.  Get the money out of politics and we may just have a chance yet.

I've posted this before, but it deserves to be posted over and over and over again.  An excerpt from George Washington's farewell address warning against political parties and their true nature.  Reads pretty accurate to me:

"All obstructions to the execution of the laws, all combinations and associations, under whatever plausible character, with the real design to direct, control, counteract, or awe the regular deliberation and action of the constituted authorities, are destructive of this fundamental principle, and of fatal tendency. They serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels and modified by mutual interests.

However combinations or associations of the above description may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion."

This topic belongs in the political isle, not the football.

If Trump can’t play RT, then I don’t give two shyts.

Not “on the field” related, so who cares.

To be fair, it is possible he could have filled in some on this line last year and performed better than some players on our roster,  now that you bring that up!

I'm counting down the time and biting my tongue anticipating this thread being relegated to a place where some of these comments can be responded to in a way they deserve. I came here to TSW to read and discuss football but got kiddie table level political gibberish.

would you prefer $8B of your hard earned tax money for a wall instead?

Honestly, this hardcore opposition of a wall is just silly.

If folks could just take away their feelings about the president, I don't understand how it's just a common sense move.

1.  Lots of people are clearly coming into our country illegally.  And many of them are coming through the southern border.

2.  Even if you don't want to call it a "crisis" (which admittedly is overblown) - it's still obviously a problem that has a harmful impact on many U.S. citizens and the economy.

3.  The first step towards keeping people out of a somewhere they shouldn't be... is erecting a wall, fence or structure to impede them.

Will it 100% fix the problem?  Of course not.  But it certainly will help.

Some people will find a way over/under the wall anyway.  But the idea that every illegal is going to just scale a 20-25 foot structure with a grappling hook is ridiculous.

Why?

It has already been clearly established that there is only one reason why I could possibly support a border wall.... because I’m a terrible human being.

Seriously, I wish people were allowed to have a real conversation about this subject, but I’m afraid it’s not really possible anymore.

It’s sad.
