I really want Williams or Saffold (I really want both...) getting one of them would go a long way towards solidifying the line, free us up to truly go BPA at #9 and look for one more line piece in round 2 or 3.

Williams is the more important IMO; very few guards have signed at this point.  You can still choose from Saffold, Spain, Garland, Cann, Lang, and others if so inclined.

but yes, I say get both Williams AND a guard.  Grab a WR with upside like Conley and you have some freedom to go BPA in rounds 1 and 2.

Another idea: offer sheet Seattle's George Fant, who played 385 snaps at RT last year and is a RFA. Not sure what level he was tendered, but he's 26 years old and low mileage.

All that

Then draft Oliver at 9 / TE like Irv Smith - Noah Fant in round 2 / a very good WR is going to slip through the cracks to round 3 in this draft and then we have 7 picks to go BPA all over the board the rest of the draft.

Interesting idea yet I haven't seen what level tender the Seahawks gave him either but if it's low it's worth a shot yet he was horrible in 2016.

Ty Nsekhe. Has been a swing tackle for the Redskins. Played extremely well at Tackle and Guard. Older at 33 but not a lot of tread. Has only been in the league for a short time after hoping around the league getting cut

I am 100% sure they have plans for this.

They couldn’t of only planned to land 1-2 of the top tackles. I’m sure they have done homework on the other guys to see if they can find a surprise starter,

worst case May have to draft and develop one

We don’t need one we have Connor McDermott !

Yeah!  After, he is rated the 129th best offensive tackle in the league!

Update: it would cost a 2nd round pick to sign Fant

Just saw on NFL live (Schefter) that Darryl Williams is resigning with Carolina on a 1 year prove it deal.  Sorry...I have no link since it was on TV.

It's possible that Beane knew in advance what was going to happen in Carolina and that's why he moved so quickly yesterday with another viable option.

Jeremey Purnell is older but an ok option. Cameron Fleming has youth on his side and worked with Daboll in New England. LaAdrian Waddle is a depth guy that did start in Detroit when our olineman coach was an assistant there.

Parnell is easily the best of that bunch and he's not better than Nsekhe by more than a whisker, if at all.

Sounds like that injury is worse than we thought. He was 2nd team all pro a couple years ago and now he's signing a 1 year deal? I feel for him. This should have been his big payday.

The question is.....

Is Ty better then Jordan Mills?

Yes. Ty is a below average starter, but Mills is a backup at best. It's amazing that he's had a starting job this long. I don't know how PFF rates them, but on my Madden 19, Ty is a 76 and Mills is a 71. I know that's just Madden, but I think their player ratings are better than many people claim -- They just get mad when their favorite player gets downgraded.
