Virgil
Bills are in the super bowl. They are up one and the opposing team is on the 5 yard line, about to kick the game winning field goal. A fan runs on the field and tackles the kicker, hurting him to the point that he can’t kick. Emergency kicker has to field and misses it. Bills win. Does it feel like a real win? Is that guy a hero to you? People always say you can’t define a game by one play. That players are people and no one should ever root for an injury. My stance, I know it would count, but I would feel cheated. I wouldn’t praise the fan. Also, haven’t slept much and my brain is broke Edited March 11, 2019 by Virgil
947
I wouldn't praise the fan either, but that guy would never have to buy his own beer in WNY again.

The penalty would be called and the replacement kicker would put it right down the middle.
MPT
I'd rather see that fan deflect the kick midair with a well thrown *****.

bopper2
As Waldo von Erich, the great wrestling villain of the 70’s famously said “They don’t ask you HOW you won, they ask you IF you won.”
Chuck Wagon
I always wondered what would happen if in a play like the Music City Forward Pass someone just came off the sideline and tackled Dyson.
Rubes
I thought you were going to say the other team downs it four times to score a single point to tie the game, sending it to overtime.
Golden Goat
If this would happen to ANY team, it would be the Bills.
Saxum
There is a special rule in rule book ("extraordinary circumstances") which would allow zebras give NFC team the win.
