whatdrought Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 I like it. Gives us some rotational depth and some insurance in case Levi doesn't continue his upward trend/Taron takes a step back post injury. Our handling of CB last year was pretty embarrassing, so I'm glad to see us be proactive.
Mark80 Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Worried about the concussions a bit, but I'm sure that was taken into account during he negotiations. As long as the contract isn't crazy, this is great. As a bonus, having went to Wake for grad school I always root for their players.
LabattBlue Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 I'll be honest, without googling him, I could not even venture to guess what team he played for last year...one step further...I've never heard of him. lol 1
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 That's cool that he can play both inside and outside, we needed that guy

I get it's not going to constitute a marquis FA signing - but can we at least try not to forget about ST contributions, too? For how especially deplorable they were last season, it's going to take more than a new coordinator to turn that part of the team around. Why not go after guys that we need for depth, can push starters, AND contribute effectively on ST? KJ fits this role, it's a nice move. Just b/c he's the first inkling of news our way doesn't mean he'll be the last, but FA expectations should be tempered accordingly - money talks and we're likely not going to land much of what we've all been clamoring for these past couple of months. 1

njbuff Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Still, what are the odds the Bills don't draft a CB??

wppete Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Nice signing. Adding depth to CB. We have 4 solid CBs right now.
McBean Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Well that’s going to wrap things up! Onto Free Agency 2020. We’re good to go! 2
Bangarang Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 How’s his route running and separation skills? 1
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 nice to see the natterers here taking a deuce on a solid depth signing. 1

MrEpsYtown Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Yeah the regime in Carolina was all over this guy pre draft and there is the John Butler connection. Makes sense and I think Johnson can play some safety as well.

BADOLBILZ Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 According to PFF.........after a good rookie year...and between numerous injuries......he has been the lowest rated CB in the NFL. Talented guy but small and fragile. Kind of a Phillip Gaines-ey signing. Consistent with last years signings.........guys with high ceilings and very low floors, mostly due to injury concerns. 1
YoloinOhio Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Bills can take a risk on his injury concerns because they have Wallace. Good situation to be in especially because Tre White’s pay day is coming 1
