BigDingus Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Just a friendly reminder for those who aren't paying attention, time to set those clocks forward 1 hour! Well...I guess it depends on where you are. Some may have already done so, but either way, hooray for losing an hour of sleep!

Until now! My semi-retirement gig is a graveyard shift, part time gate officer at the The Players Championship golf course (gonna be a HUUUGE week!). Tonight, for the 1st time in my life, 2:00 became 3:00 and I got paid for the missing hour! WOOT! 1
Chef Jim Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Yeah it’s “5:30am” and I’m up. I always get up early on weekends. Well it’s actually 4:30am. Ugh is right.
RaoulDuke79 Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Sounded like a monsoon out there on top of the couple inches of snow that's still on the ground....what a soggy mess. Forgot to set the clocks ahead before bed and almost missed the start of the Liverpool game.
Gray Beard Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 It was finally starting to be dim light for my morning commute. Now I have to wait three weeks or so to get to that point again. It takes a full week for me to get used to the dark mornings and for my body clock to adjust. I understand the motivation of not wanting it to be too dark when kids go to school in the winter, but the time shift is tough. 1
Keukasmallies Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Windstorm here caused the electricity to go out four times early this AM giving me the unexpected thrill of changing the bedroom clock four times. 1

Marv's Neighbor Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Since I've never been an early riser, don't care for Spring Forward.
RaoulDuke79 Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 I'd much prefer more sunlight after work than before work. 2 1

shrader Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 I just want to know which battery company was the first to tie this day into checking your smoke detectors. I’d love to see just how big the spike of 9 volt battery sales is. The battery racks are always cleared out around here.
Happy Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Switching between DST and Standard Time is kind of pointless. Just pick one and keep the time the same going forward. 1
Another Fan Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 (edited) Well at least there's more sunlight driving home from work. Is it just me or does this day come earlier every year? Edited March 10, 2019 by Another Fan 1
