Gavin in Va Beach Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 My failure to consider your thoroughness is inexcusable. My penance shall be to read 20 BFinIND and 10 stevestojan posts. 291176 No need for that, the Constitution says something about cruel and unusual punishment...
Alaska Darin Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 No need for that, the Constitution says something about cruel and unusual punishment... 291180
Prisoner 1291378 Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 My vote.... HOF Worthy 291161 Thanks but I'll have to decline. I can not attend the ceremony.
bills_fan Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 In addition to Rich's choices, I would add nominations for Alaska Darin & Jay Rosen for outstanding contributions to the board.
stuckincincy Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Thanks but I'll have to decline. I can not attend the ceremony. 291199 P, you haven't posted for some time. Should be a bunch of discussions in the near future as the draft approaches - so jump on in and join us.
TheMadCap Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 I also nominate Hammer, because he is instrumental in organizing our tailgates. Here's to you brother!
crazyDingo Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 I would like to add, post mortem, all the posters who left TSW when Doug Flutie, Rob Johnson and Drew Bledsoe left. Their contributions will never be forgotten and they will always be available as outstanding examples of fringe behavior. (I will root for so-and-so wherever he goes and I hope the new guy breaks his leg) Who can ever forget their requests for automotive advice, homework assignments, movie reviews and QB cheerleading? A moment of silence in their honor...
/dev/null Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Who can ever forget their requests for automotive advice, homework assignments, movie reviews and QB cheerleading?291336 don't forget their insatiable curiousity as to what music everyone is listening to or their heartwarming or tearjerking tales of romance

34-78-83 Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 I sincerely wish I could recall the name of the poster who coined the term, the "Flupotians" - and express credit due... 291366 Wasn't that term coined by "the coach" on WGR 550 ?
stuckincincy Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Wasn't that term coined by "the coach" on WGR 550 ? 291368 Dunno - the only way I could get WGR broadcasts here is if there was Divine atmospheric intervention.
Bill from NYC Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Imo "Des" deserves a spot. Most of you probably dont remember him. He was/is a dolphin fan. He and AKC had brutal arguements but wound up having mutual respect as I recall. The guy (imo) truly knew football, and was as entertaining as hell. Des was a major contributor to this great site. He made TBD a better place.

Buftex Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Waitaminute! BUFTEX?!?! I smell a rat, didn't put YOU on that list 291087 Marcus Pollard, Marcus Pollard, Marcus Pollard, Marcus Pollard, Marcus Pollard Marcus Pollard!!!!!! Just trying to grab some attention!
Shameless Homer Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 The qualifier has to be whose name causes you to open up a thread as much as or more so than the title of the thread itself. Alaska Darin Fezmid (because he gives good Bledsoe)
BF_in_Indiana Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 I nominate Cablelady.........anyone that would adopt me as their son should be rewarded for their outstanding tollerance for pain.
AKC Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Beased upon many of nominations in this string it's clear that the content in one's posts bears no relationship to their fitness for nomination into the TSW WOF. Therefore, under the authority of no one in any capacity to forward this process through to its inevitably unpleasant culmination, I hereby make a nomination of the historically appropriate TSW poster child of all content vacuum: Belinda Belinda Belinda Belinda!
AKC Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Imo "Des" deserves a spot. 291384 Des pops in every now and then. He's an honest and knowledgeable poster who has contributed much to the football wealth on this board. He also was the one who first brought to (my) (our) attention the exchange issues that made Dan Marino a running back killer, something old film always confirms. Not to mention that he was a betting man who kept his word; a true model for fans of other teams whose fine example of behavior in our forum is too often ignored by the trolls we've attracted in the past year.

Remember "Doc?" He correctly predicted that Donnally would flop at LG when the Dolphins signed him because he was a RG, and they put him on the left side. The newcomers will never know how great the "old" TSW truly was. Dont get me wrong, I welcome them; but times have changed.
