REPORT: Steelers trading Antonio Brown to Bills! - Per Ian Rapoport (Hold up....maybe, maybe not....) EDIT: DEAL NOT HAPPENING PER BRANDON BEANE - UPDATE: Traded to Raiders

IMO there is a side benefit:  Beane sends a message to the team that he will do anything to win, even bringing in a clown.  He will get mileage for trying and the team will be better off in the long run by not acquiring Brown.

NJ, IL, and CA say "hi".

Uhh... should probably do some research first. I've lived in Buffalo and almost bought a house there. Property taxes were insane for what you were getting. Here's some actual data for you to digest:

"California’s overall property taxes are below the national average. The average effective property tax rate in California is 0.79%, compared with a national average of 1.19%."

Buffalo

1.88% = $18.80 per thousand

$100,000 house = $1880 per year, $156.67 per month on top of your mortgage!

Man there are some sad takes in this thread. It's not that complicated. We agreed with Steelers on trade compensation with a basic understanding of what it might take to extend Brown. AB's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, leaked the trade to the media to put pressure on the Bills to up their offer and get a deal done now as this is when their leverage is the highest. When we wouldn't meet their demands, Brown took to twiiter saying he'd never report. Bills balked at the whole situation and backed away. It has nothing to do with how he feels or doesn't feel about Buffalo. Why do people insist on acting like spurned teenagers??

Disagree.  The "not wanting to go to Buffalo" part of this has nothing to do with the weather or not enough Michelin 4 star restaurants in Buffalo and that sort of thing.

It's the team, the QB, the lack of a passing game, the perennial losing...it was that "Buffalo" that he didn't want to go to.

I didn't bring up NJ or Il... She was wrong mentioning Ca, which is why I only posted that data.

Some of that maybe true. I have no doubt AB would prefer a big market with an established QB and winning culture, but that’s all secondary to $$.

Think of it this way. NFL has a hard cap. There are only a few teams with 1. Need for big time WR, 2. Lots of cap space, and 3. willingness to spend that cap space on re-doing AB’s contract AND spend the draft capital to get the trade done. Why would a good agent like Drew Rosenhaus want to eliminate one of the few teams who fit all those categories?

Even if AB really didn’t want to come to Buffalo, the best way to do that is to quietly and respectfully tell Bills, so that you can still use the threat of them as leverage with another team for a better deal. You only go the public scorched earth route if Bills are trying to trade for you without meeting your contract demands, which is what happened.

If AB gets traded somewhere good and there’s little new money involved then I’ll admit I’m wrong.

So what is his excuse for wanting to leave Pittsburgh?  This is all about AB and no one else.  I don't know what they have in the water in Pittsburgh but Bell and him have the same disease, they are bigger than the team.  I used to get excited about the Bills bringing in the big fish, but I no longer want fools like this on our team.

Counterpoint would be that cost of living is astronomically higher in Cali than Buffalo.

Troll

Total QBR - 25th in the league

QB Rating - 32nd in the league

He may get to where he needs to be as a passer one day.  He may not.

I have nothing to say because I'm too busy crying and stocking up tinned food for the end of the world but I just wanted to post in this thread because it's going to go down as a classic, and modern day anxieties about being left out of popular moments compels me to take part.

That happens a lot in Chicago, always watch your drink. We were in a bar in the city and some chick got caught  putting viagra into people's beer. We didn't believe him at first but my friend said he tried to go to the bath but could piss because he had a hard on.

No, you changed the post and made it look like that's what I said. I didn't. I know it and you know it. The original post is still there. You can't even own up to what you did. Douche move on your part, plain and simple.

No one cares about Boca since the Bills play in Buffalo.

Okay, whatever. You could've ended it by acknowledging that it was a joke but you still can't own what you did. You must be a load of fun at a party.
