I had no idea he was a football player at Syracuse, a swim coach at Akron, an idol in Japan (awarded the Order of the Rising Sun), once wrestled an alligator and a bear (beat both), and shaved off Gorgeous George’s hair in front of 10,000! Also a surrogate father to the DiPaulo kids after Ilio died, and did a boatload of charity work. Don’t know about the outfit, But hope the mask stays with him. . 2020 Our Year For Sure Posted March 8, 2019 Share Posted March 8, 2019 I saw him interviewed on Empire Sports Network years ago, he claimed to have once told a young Ric Flair, "Naitch, you need a walk!" Which resulted in Flair creating his famous strut. I always wondered whether he was working in character when he said that but regardless, he had me laughing and was charismatic and fun to listen to.
