If they can grab two solid O-Linemen in free agency (Paradis/ Williams/Williams/Zeitler/Morse) then I think you have the luxury of looking at EDGE or DT or WR at 9, otherwise they need to grab the best O-Lineman on the board at 9. No point in spending all that capital to get your franchise QB if he is running for his life every other snap. The O-Line isn't sexy but it is the heart of the offense. Can't run the ball, can't pass the ball without a decent O-Line. If Allen is going to continue to develop, he needs an O-Line. Edited March 8, 2019 by Inigo Montoya 3

Johnny Hammersticks Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Jawaan Taylor all day. Watching Jonah get absolutely owned in the natl championship game was brutal. He’s a guard in the NFL. He’s too small, not athletic enough, and his arms are too short. Hopefully we aren’t in a position where we have to take an OT at 9. 3

I would rather have them spend their money in free agency to shore up the O- line and if that's not successful for whatever reason, invest heavily in the O-Line in the draft. I suspect that a 5th rounder might require more coaching up than a 1st rounder. Drafting your franchise quarterback and then not investing in the linemen to protect him seems like a good way to be back in the franchise quarterback market in 2-3 years.

I am ALL FOR investing in OL and DL. ALL FOR! Win the game on the LOS. I just don’t want to reach in the draft. I’d rather overpay in FA for a few years than pass on elite DL talent to draft average OL talent. Allen and the run game NEED a line. Don’t get average at #9. 1

I think you are getting a pretty good player with Taylor, and I think Williams could be a very good interior linemen. I wouldn't take either at 9. If you pick them, you are passing on elite defensive talent, and I think filling holes and settling is the worst way to draft. I would never draft a non elite offensive linemen in the top ten of a draft. 2

I can’t wait for this stuff to actually happen! 1

David Bahktiari, 4th round, Shaq Mason 4th, Jason Kelce 6th, Marshal Yanda 3rd, Alejandro Villanueva UDFA...There are a few top linemen picked in the top ten, but some of the best come from all over the place. We we are all salivating over Paradis 6th, Morse 2nd, Spain UDFA, Saffold 2nd. Gotta draft better and find the right people. 1

There are some who think he might not be that much of a reach at #9. Personally, I don't think the Bills are going to end up drafting an offensive lineman at #9. machine gun kelly Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 FWIW, Jordan Jones, the Sam LB for Kentucky was asked in the SEC, which is the toughest Tackle he opposed, and he said Juwain Taylor, not Jonah Williams. Either one is a big upgrade.

I think as NFL players Jonah Williams projects as a very good LG (maybe even a C) and Jawaan Taylor projects as a very good RT but a RT only. Neither of those are "wasted" picks, but they are also almost definitely not the best players on the board.

There was one play where he and Ferrell slipped and it looked like he got destroyed. He was great in that game v another Top 15 guy. Watch again.

Dawk should be a guard, as he was originally projected in college and showed this year with his inconsistency at tackle. I still say we are going defense in the first, Risner in the 2nd and then WR/RB/More Oline
