He was expensive for the uneven performance he was giving. If it is for OBJ I question what they doing as to me you want to build a better defense when you have the Steelers in your division.

That’s not the only deal they’re trying to make. I’m not sure how far along they are with any of them though. Of course they could have deals in place with free agents too Edited March 7, 2019 by BarleyNY

thebandit27 Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Wow...Vernon and Myles Garrett together...yikes. Imagine if they end up getting Jeffrey Simmons in the draft--that's a heckuva scary DL
DCOrange Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Seems like a pretty smart trade for both sides really. Zeitler and Will Hernandez (and Solder if god forbid he gets it back together) is a pretty solid nucleus for what has been a terrible OLine in the past.

DJB Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 I honestly would have considered moving Hughes for Zeitler
MrEpsYtown Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 This does hurt the Giants' cap flexibility quite a bit, which helps us in the running for Daryl Williams. 1

Hmmmm...spotrac seems to indicate that they Giants have over $30M in cap space... https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-york-giants/cap/

BuffaloRebound Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Not sure they can break bank for Williams if they are paying Solder and Zeitler that much.
