Is it just me or does this off season have a feel like it could fall out very well for us? We have 10 draft picks....a ton of cap space....most of our players under contract.....franchise QB has been secured. 10 draft picks is a bit deceiving. The Bills have 1 pick in each of the first three (money) rounds. They have an extra pick in round 4 and an extra pick in round 5 and an extra pick later. Really, unless they can parlay the extra 4th and 5th into an extra 3rd, they are not much more than lottery tickets. 1

Not dismissing those picks, but they are still long-shots to be big contributors. Yes, Milano looks like he could be a long term contributor, but beyond Milano they’ve selected Peterman, Tanner Vallejo, Taron Johnson, Siran Neal, Wyatt Teller, Ray Ray McCloud and Austin Prohel. Johnson could be helpful over the next few years and Teller might become a decent starter, but I don’t think anyone is missing Peterman, Vallejo, McCloud or Prohel Edited March 7, 2019 by OldTimer1960

When you look at it....it looks very similar to the money rounds Milano - Stud Peterman - Dud Vallejo - started for another team Siran Neal - jury is out Wyatt Teller - Starter McCloud - jury is out Proehl - dud
RocCityRoller Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 Yes please, and bring in D Williams and Paradis or Morse, a Crabtree/Tate/Lockett and then the draft is BPA

I could agree that Neal *might* develop and I don’t expect Vallejo to be a starter for long - I could be wrong, of course.

There will be good OL prospects early in round 2 and they will be MUCH cheaper. Now, for sure, a draft pick won’t have the proven NFL track record that Zeitler has. I agree maybe a 5th but that contract brings down his trade value.
GreggTX Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 (edited) Heck, let's just get crazy. Sign Zeitler, Paradis, Saffold and Williams LOL. Oh and all at the right price while we're dreaming about it. I'd be delirious and so would Shady. Draft WR in the 1st and a RB in the 2nd or 3rd. Please don't wake me up from this dream before the 13th. Edited March 7, 2019 by GreggTX 2

billsfan89 Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 I would give up a mid rounder for him easily as he is a very good player on a contract that is suddenly reasonable for a top guard BUT it gives me pause as to why the Browns would want to trade a top guard when their cap isn't an issue. Supposedly the Browns want the cap space and to pave the way for their 2nd round guard to take over and use the cap space elsewhere. If his medicals check out I don't see why he wouldn't be a great pickup.

Zeitler or Saffold at G, Paradis or Morse at C, D Williams at OT. Add in a Tate/Crabtree/Stills or Lockett at WR or Jesse Jame/ Uzomah while you are at it? Will still have $ left over and get a good mix of young and older, injury and no injury payers. Then draft BPA. Imagine signing Saffold, Morse, D Williams. Ok on OL for 2 yrs. Don't reach on a weak OL class. Take a Crabtree/ Tate for 2-3 yrs. No need to reach on a WR. If an Ed Oliver falls to 9 you take him. No questions asked. If a Gary, Polite, Ferrell falls move back and draft or take one. If OT Taylor, Little or Ford falls take them or move back. Buffalo is in a very very special place right now. It's very exciting!

RocCityRoller Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 Offer them the 5th (BUF or OAK) and 7th (CAR) extra picks we got from trades. If not the 4th (KC) and 7th (CAR) for him. At worst 4th (KC) and 5th (BUF) after that walk. Zeitler at G is an instant improvement.
RocCityRoller Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 so its possible Dawkins - LT Saffold - LG Morse - C Zeitler - G Williams - T ok worth every pick and penny. Pretty sure McCoy would be thrilled. this is a 2 yr line, have to draft replacements, but.... yeah 2 years.Gives 2 years time.

The Browns gain no cap space for trading him, so it would be stupid to give him away for a 5th and 7th.

Third rounder is the sweet part of the draft where guys that were borderline late 1s and 2s can be had. I hate to give Cleveland that juicy of a pick. Agreed. He isn't just better. Including that particular starting TE earlier or even early , in the draft would be a serious game changer for the Bills Daboll Allen etc. I have mentioned before this is where I would spend my money. adding another steady TE in FA as well. If Browns are parting with him ? Bills need to be in the bidding game I like your enthusiasm in this matter. and it could be accomplished. : ) Go Beane ! Thanks 3/12. I am excited for this off season, not that we will win the SB, but we won’t be 31st in offense. I keep hearing about getting more defensive players, and in a perfect world I understand, but we have to heavily invest in the obvious areas on offense, We can be competitive this year as we had the second best defense and best pass defense. I know losing Kyle will, hurt, but if they are not in the field because we’re running great again, that will chew up clock. 10 hours ago, purple haze said: Morse is 26. Paradis is 29. Thanks Purple. I stand corrected, and heard on the radio 26, but should have checked myself. I apologize.
