Johnny Hammersticks Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Miles Boykin is an intriguing prospect. Really, a deep WR class overall. No need to force the issue in the first round. Might be able to wait until the 3rd round and get a really good player.
947 Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 I would love Ridley or Harry in the 2nd. Jawaan Taylor & Ridley/Harry in the 1st & 2nd beats the heck out of taking Metcalf & a 3rd tier OL prospect. 1
wppete Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 I think we can have Ridley in the 3rd round with his slow 40 at the combine.
Chicken Boo Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 (edited) If no Metcalf, I want Montez Sweat at #9. I'm not big on Harry, but he's solid. He could be a Hopkins type. Not fast, but a good, physical route runner with above average hands. Edited March 5, 2019 by Chicken Boo
DJB Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Metcalfe 3 cone and shuttle are faster than the Browns Jarvis Landry

Metcalfs 3 cone and shuttle looks poor because none of the top big Wrs participated in either drill. Traditionally large outside wrs dont. You want to talk about injury history as a reason to pass on him at 9 ok I fully understand. To say he it's worth it because his 3 cone? And Shuttle? Its asinine. He literally has similar scores on those tests to Randy Moss. His agility tests are certainly not disqualifying but it’s also not asinine to be concerned. It’s a red flag and I’m sure teams will want to see him perform it again at his pro day. And Moss’s 7.19 and Metcalf’s 7.38 are really not very similar. 2/10ths of a second over short distances is an eternity in pro football. Especially when matched against DBs with world class athleticism of their own. I give him credit for doing the drill because, like you said, many of the bigger receivers are seemingly advised to skip it. It’s a good sign of his competitive nature, too.

Seems like this guy will be very good in the NFL. appears his route running is very good, hands are great and just gets the WR position! I am not sure where he is expected to go in the draft or if he has off the field problems but I would love to see Buffalo come away from the draft with this kid on the team. N'Keal Harry would be my 2nd choice. I'd take nkeal harry all day over ridley....ridley tested very poorly at the combine.....

He better improve it because right now he has a slower shuttle time than Tom Brady did.

atlbillsfan1975 Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Ridley is going to be a stud. He will be drafted late first or very early second. Bills will need to trade down or back up. Anyone who has watched UGA games can tell you Ridley makes the tough catch and has ‘field speed’.

blogic2 Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 I really like Miles Boykin! Plenty fast with great size. He also has the agility and quickness to run all the routes. As a senior, he also has some level of maturity.
John from Riverside Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Given today's free agency.....I still think we take a WR in the draft but not at 9 Maybe the second round
MAJBobby Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Speed Matters to this regime. NFL Draft Diamonds (@DraftDiamonds) 3/12/19, 1:31 PM Yesterday I talked with an agent to see if he had any wide receivers that had interest from Buffalo. He responded to me they’re not fast enough. I get it now!!!
NewEraBills Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 (edited) I'd still take Metcalf at 9 even with today. Jones and Foster would have to battle it out for the 4th spot. Beasley gets the slot and Brown is one of the outside guys. I'd force Jones and Foster to fight for the #4 spot. Jones, as we have seen, struggles on the perimeter. Foster can get open on the perimeter but can he win consistently? I'd still take Metcalf at 9. Much more talented than both Zay and Foster. Edited March 12, 2019 by NewEraBills
blogic2 Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Still need that big, physical receiver. Not at 9 but if Boykin is available in round 2 or 3... I would like the pick. Metcalf looks like he lacks the agility to run all the routes.
