Hirly5 Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 Reunion - Aired in 2005. They cancelled it mid-season without revealing who the killer was. Rubicon - Aired 2010. This was a great conspiracy show. I think it could have went on for a few more seasons.

But Leslie Nielson dumbed down the character. Police Squad was the perfect parody of detective shows, and he did a spot on parody of guys like Joe Friday. It was so much more subtle too. I truly think that's why it didn't last, because most people didn't get it. Angie Tribeca is a show that's produced by Steve Carell. It's the closest thing we're gonna get to Police Squad. A lot of the same deadpan humor. Edited March 6, 2019 by The Real Buffalo Joe
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 (edited) The Police Squad to Naked Gun comparison to me is very similar to the Monty Python’s Flying Circus half hour skit comedy, as opposed to the long form movies. All are funny, but the strength seems to be in the shorter form. Edited March 6, 2019 by Ridgewaycynic2013
