I actually have never wanted to draft him. He’s referring to Shady ... I would love Jacobs if he was more explosive. Was pretty disappointed with Jacobs tape, He could turn out to be a Lynch type though. I do like this kid though. I also like Singletary and Jalin Moore.
Flip Johnson Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 For a mid-round pick I am all in. If his speed/explosiveness come all the way back he is a game-breaking athlete.
Estro Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 I watched a few of his games last season. He looked sluggish. Lot of negative rushes. Late round flyer, didn't look like a top 4 round pick to me.

Terrible tape, blew out his ACL and hes known as a speed guy, he came in small and on top of that he has questions about his football desire. Easy pass Miles Sanders in the 4th please Lol terrible tape? You ever actually watched this kid play?

Hes not great at catching the ball out of the backfield either and that's an issue being a smaller back He certainly isn't getting picked in the first 3 rounds
NickelCity Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 I think he'd be a great get in the right round, but I'm a Stanford homer through and through. 1

Tatonka68 Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 Would take him in the 3rd round if he slipped that far.

DCOrange Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 My issue with him is he's probably too small to be a feature back and he hasn't really shown anything as a receiver, so best case scenario, what are you really getting with him? Seems like he's at best a change-of-pace guy unless he suddenly turns into a receiver, but you can get a much better receiving back late on Day 3 or off the trash heap in free agency.
dpberr Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 If you're selecting him with a low pick, sure. Otherwise, you're in Willis McGahee territory with the high pick. 1

According to most on here Kuechly is done anyways, also the Panthers owe us for robbing him from us in the 1st place... consider Mccaffrey interest, I'm sure McBeane can make them see this. 1
CaptnCoke11 Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 Hopefully they can get lucky and draft a Kamara type running back in the mid rounds. The days of the one trick pony running backs are over 1

I think any talk of Kuechly being "done" is very premature! As for McCaffrey I suspect that over the next 5 years he will put up numbers making him the best all around RB in the NFL. But hell yes if McBeane can get us these 2 guys I would be all for it! 1

Where does that Keuchly narrative come from? concussions?

As an aside I remember watching him play high school football at Saint X down here in Cincy and you could tell he was a special type of player.
blacklabel Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 I'd assume he's firmly on their radar. Kid embodies many of the characteristics they look for in prospects.

And osu didn’t even offer him because he ran a 4.7 at their camp
GreggTX Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 Multiple injuries already. His numbers are insane, but he kinda reminds me of CJ -- great in college, but only 1 great year in the NFL.
