TigerJ Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 If the best player available is way better than the next guy on your board, but he plays a position where your team is already really strong, it does present a bit of a dilemma. You can draft him and become even stronger. There is a possibility you could eventually trade another player on your team at the same position to recoup some of the draft capital you spent on the new guy. You could also, if you find a trading partner, trade the pick. Probably the least desirable alternative is drafting a significantly lesser player for the sake of need. Doing that over time will drag down the talent level of your team.
