IgotBILLStopay Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 (edited) Very rarely does the national media ever suggest the Bills as a destination for star FAs or Trade candidates. Here is a case in point (regarding Antonio Brown): https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/antonio-brown-trade-rumors-ranking-eight-best-landing-spots-plus-four-teams-with-no-chance-for-steelers-star/ That article lists 8 teams including the Jets, Fins and Raiders from the AFC, but does not even suggest the Bills. Yet the odds makers have consistently favored the Bills (3rd best odds as of now - after the Niners and the Colts). https://247sports.com/nfl/tennessee-titans/Article/Antonio-Browns-Titans-odds-129323287/ Quote Here are all the odds to land Brown: San Francisco 49ers +250 Indianapolis Colts +300 Buffalo Bills +400 Arizona Cardinals +500 Pittsburgh Steelers +500 New York Jets +700 Houston Texans +800 Dallas Cowboys +1000 Denver Broncos +1000 Green Bay Packers +1200 Cleveland Browns +1500 Chicago Bears +1500 Tennessee Titans +1500 Oakland Raiders +2000 Philadelphia Eagles +2000 New Orleans Saints +2500 Seattle Seahawks +3500 Detroit Lions +4000 Miami Dolphins +5000 I have more faith in the oddsmakers than the national media since oddsmakers put their money where their mouth is. So, the Poyer situation notwithstanding, may not be that farfetched to think about AB to the Bills. Our second rounder is in the perfect sweet spot for this trade. In contrast to AB, oddsmakers do not favor the Bills at all in being a destination for Leveon Bell. We do not feature in the top 12. https://www.wsn.com/nfl/leveon-bell-odds-2019-team Edited February 24, 2019 by IgotBILLStopay 2
aceman_16 Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 (edited) I dont want him him with the Bills anyhow....so maybe not a bad thing. Edited February 24, 2019 by aceman_16 1
PIZ Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 I would rather draft or sign a young WR than a 30 year old problem one. I don't think he fits in with McDermott's team building philosophy. 6
Mark Vader Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 We obviously need help at WR, but I can't imagine McBeane having this guy on the radar. 2
BringBackOrton Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Is there a way to auto-block any thread that starts with “national media?” 1 1

Every reference is just a repeat quote of the same tweet from a nobody. Nothing from anyone involved has ever mentioned it, commented on it, etc. No news on it other than low end media sites repeating same unsubstantiated tweet from a random person on Twitter. Im highly skeptical this was ever a real story. 1

That is likely why the odds on Bills landing him still are high. Edited February 24, 2019 by IgotBILLStopay
Alphadawg7 Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Again, that story only quotes the same tweet from a nobody. Never did Bush or Poyers mistress mention Anonion Brown. Every single story I can find quotes the same single tweet from a nobody, no actual media or confirmation of alleged Antonio Brown connection.

Dr.Mantis_Toboggan Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 If Poyer and “Mr.Big Chest” really have an issue that would hinder such a move, Trade Poyer (and a late pick?) for AB and sign a safety in FA as there are a few good ones available, or just draft his replacement. Much harder to find an elite weapon for Josh than replace and above average safety. Oddly enough, it seems like all the elite WRs around the league have been mentioned in trade rumors, so that also might help drive Brown’s price down.

nedboy7 Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Bills fans don’t want AB? Don’t worry. AB doesn’t want buffalo either. 2
Buffalo86 Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Signing Antonio Brown could go a long way toward restoring the Bills to national brand status. Just imagine Brown walking around the NFL combine, wearing an Andre Reed jersey. That's all you've got to say. 2

billsfan_34 Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Always go with the odds makers! They have people crunching every piece of statistical data where as the media just talks out of their rectum most of the time.
machine gun kelly Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 My guess is the Colts. They have the most money, and calming force of Reich and Luck will be a good opposite for TY Hilton, and could possibly get them another ring. Luck is playing like a stud now, they like their O Line, running game, and their defense is vastly improved. They have a much better chance of beating the Pats than us next year.
