Orrrrr until we had people jumping the borders from third world countries.

Both.  Travelers introduced it into an incompletely vaccinated population.

Can't force people to stick any foreign substance in their body. You can't force women not to kills kids aborting so how can you mandate people to put crap in their own bloodstream? The use of force to make citizens submit goes back to when the authority to tax us. It's a slippery slope since we have made the government our boss. What's next after they can force us to vaccinate? Embedded chips so they can track, tax us more efficiently? No thanks. It's not that I am anti-vaccination per se, just against being forced to do it.

It's nowhere near as simple as that. Even outside the representative government we elect to create and enforce the laws/rules of what's allowed in our society, a broader idea of freedom would to me be that we are free to do what we want as long as it doesn't infringe on the freedom of others. Not getting vaccinated still wouldn't fall neatly into the category of an action that doesn't infringe on someone else's rights.

Agreed. This is not a simple, “You have the right to kill your kid with measles.” I’m fine with that.

You do NOT have the right to kill me with measles. Please move to the Philippines.

The only people who can justify no vaccine are the super super small minority of immunity-compromised people who the rest of us vaccinated folk can keep safe.

if you plan on sticking around PPP, you might want to change your avatar.  nothing against you or the avatar, but it is very similar to another one of our more notorious members.  a member, if you stick around long enough, you will figure out that you don't want to be confused with

Agreed. But this does remind me of a short lived “game” where people were changing their avatars to ones of other posters. Confusing fun ensued.

Every time I see it I am like "I thought I blocked him", then I realize who @Warcodered  isn't.

I don't disagree with them...but how the ***** are they going to enforce that?  Do we have to carry immunization records around with us now?

Dart gun dodgeball.

Requiring vaccination records, long term, shouldn't be too hard. It's funny that schools have taken that for granted for the last 20 years because we eradicated these diseases. Now they will probably require them at enrollment again because the Legion of Stupid is making advances against science.

The real solution to this problem is to cure morons from their thinking disease.

Vaccines work if 99.9% of people aren't retawded.  That's what we need.

What a joke. It's measles! Not a flesh-eating virus. Drama much? Just another opportunity to tell us what to do and how to get there.

No that wouldn't be eco-friendly. We are just going to chip you! Very convenient. You can swipe your hand at Safeway and pay even quicker! Oh and we can track you and your money much more efficiently as well. Isn't it cool?

I'm more frightened of some brain dead government schmoes having the power to stick me against my will than coming down with measles. I'll take my chances. Let the clones get vaxed and they won't have to worry.

Maybe so. I don't want to give the government the power to vaccinate me or my kids. I'm so silly. Trust the state.
