Shaw66 Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 I wish him well. He was cursed with a big contract and couldn't live up to it. 2

He was always a reliable target at Bama. Just now, Shaw66 said: I wish him well. He was cursed with a big contract and couldn't live up to it. You can pretty much say that of most Free Agent signings.

If that’s the “deep” free agent market I would rather draft our TE 1
MJS Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 He wasn't even producing against the Dolphins anymore. Those used to be his big games of production. 1
tbarg12 Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Not surprising, being a healthy scratch last game of the year. I'd like to see them draft someone that can stick with Allen for a long time, someone like Irv Smith who is familiar with Daboll's system. 1

He was never going to help Josh develop. Nor does he have any chance of haunting us. Now we can focus on finding a quality long term TE. He got his very generous big payday and doubt he signs for much anywhere else. What a waste. Edited February 15, 2019 by LABILLBACKER
GunnerBill Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 My guess is he is done in the league. Not sure he will pass a medical anywhere and I doubt anyone offers him the $$s to make continuing to play worth his while. 1

frostbitmic Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Must mean we're drafting Hockenstein in the 1st round .... Hopefully after a trade back.
QCity Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 The previous FO "outfoxed" Miami by offering him a contact structured in a way that made it very difficult for Miami to match. Then they celebrated when Miami didn't match it. As Miami watched us shoot ourselves in the foot. 1

Logic Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Bills are definitely drafting a TE early. Good thing it's the best TE draft in at least a decade. 1

CNYfan Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 I actually think that Jason Croom is a good downfield receiver, and seems to go after the catch with some discernible talent. The Bills need to add, probably, a TE who can really block well, as well as be a receiving threat. I tend to believe that those assets are in the draft, on the first two days. The Bills are pretty thin in so many areas so I do not know if they will be able to spend treasure for such an asset.
