Hmmm...

The Mexican government must be schiffting their pants over this. They can't stand up to the cartels, and they won't last long if we start sending troops/drones over the border to take care of business (either through elections or assassinations.)

The court rightly asserted that Trumps power grab would have violated checks and balances, the bedrock of our republic. Congress is charged with appropriating funds and the President arbitrarily redirecting public money for his vanity project is illegal, unconstitutional and just plain stupid

It's easy to cut a hole in the stupid thing

“The president can’t use the National Emergencies Act to override a congressional appropriations decision,” Parker said. “That specifically means he cannot use funds appropriated for military construction and divert it for use to build border barriers.”

Then maybe Congress shouldn't have given the president specific authority to do just that in the National Emergencies Act...

You give him too much credit. He hasn't been reduced to this level of stupidity, it's his life's work. He aspires to it.

11 Chinese nationals found inside furniture in truck at US-Mexico border

by Yaron Steinbuch

Original Article

Federal agents foiled a human smuggling attempt along the US-Mexico border in San Diego when they found 11 Chinese nationals hiding inside a moving truck full of furniture, officials said. The Customs and Border Patrol officers stopped a 42-year-old US citizen behind the wheel of the truck arriving from Mexico at the San Ysidro crossing about 5:30 p.m. Saturday. After stopping the vehicle for a secondary search, they found the group crammed inside various pieces of furniture and other items — with one also crouching inside a washing machine. The unidentified driver was arrested for attempted human smuggling and later transported to the Metropolitan Correctional Center, officials said.

Government shutdown = No impeachment.

Can't have that.

The anti-wall voters we promised will understand.

What, you mean it isn't good optics for the Democrats to have the government shut down in the middle of a lengthy bullschiff trial they forced on the Senate?
