Many of us say right now that we didn't vote for him. I voted for the Libertarian idiot.

Chef Jim Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 I voted for Trump and I'm glad I did. The market is up again today. 1

I couldn't bring myself to do it, so I write in for SMOD. In fairness, as you know, it doesn't matter who you vote for in CA. For every Republican vote there are two harvested mail-ins. They finally got enough to turn OC full blue. As a side note, I ran Ed Royce at the dry cleaners last week. First time I've seen him out since he retired. I told him we missed him, and wished he was still representing us, and he quietly shook my hand, shook his head and essentially said, "Hard to believe how far left they've gone." 2 minutes ago, DC Tom said: Is there any way to describe what Boeing's stock did today without sounding racist against Ethiopians? Tiberius Posted March 13, 2019 Author Posted March 13, 2019 To be clear on what just happened here, Republicans tried to come up with a way to give Trump the national emergency he wants, while also giving themselves a way to mitigate the political damage from it. And this does have the potential to be damaging: A new Politico/Morning Consult poll finds that only 38 percent of Americans favor the emergency declaration, while 52 percent oppose it. Independents oppose it by 57-30, and a plurality of 46 percent of independents say they would be less likely to vote for a lawmaker who backs Trump on this. That means Senators up for reelection have to think about this vote. As Morning Consult’s vice president puts it: “Backing Trump’s national emergency declaration could be politically toxic for senators up for reelection bids in 2020.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/03/13/after-republicans-prostrate-themselves-before-trump-he-humiliates-them-further/?utm_term=.3b480d834939
