I'd hope within the press conference he'd talk about actions being taken about the incident and besides that a press conference would allow him to reassure the people another aspect of the job of President when words like coup are being thrown around.

I wasn't even getting into who was right or wrong about this situation more just irritated that the President throws around terrifying statements as hyperbole so much that people seem desensitized to it. Also I don't see how he needed to talk about it for the news to pay attention to it when he's literally quoting the news not to mention how would the news not cover a former Deputy Director of the FBI talking about having discussed using the 25th amendment on the current President.

Honestly Warcodered...think about this for a second.  For 28 months the American public has been told that the President colluded with Russia to overthrow the heir apparent to the Democrat party (who, interestingly, manipulated the system on their side of the playground to ice out the hot new cool kid Bernie S), we've watched a Special Counsel tasked with a limitless mandate to investigate anything his team of political operatives decided to investigate, we're at the point where leaders of the opposition party have suggested Trump is a Russian asset, we've watched the upper echelon of the FBI be lopped off due to sex/lies/attempt to manipulate the election, watched a Supreme Court nominee with an impeccable record of service to the country be accused of being a gang rapist and serial groper by declared candidates for President, and watched the normalization of infanticide and celebration with the lighting of the Freedom Tower in blood red.  Suddenly now there is something to be irritated about?

To draw an analogy, you're like the last guy on the Titanic who overslept, woke up and was surprised to find all the lounge chairs sliding past him as he looked for a place to catch a few rays.

Press conference shmess shonference.

What I find truly amusing in this McCabe book tour is 1) how little new information is being presented - I haven't heard anything come out of this that I didn't hear at least a year ago, and 2) how all of this old news is being packaged as new "breaking news."

I appreciate your concern, but I never felt like I was alone. When I get up each  I'm usually recapping my plan for the day, thinking about obligations, responsibilities and people that count on me.

I feel incredibly fortunate in many ways, so much so that when I encounter a well-minded soul like you seeking me out on a message board while poking fun about me being on that very message board, it makes me laugh.  Sometimes I laugh with, sometimes at.  Either way, it makes me happy I suppose.

Now you keep on trucking, and thanks for visiting here, where, as you said, we are not alone, because at least I'm here, as were you.

in the 70s i was told 24/7 how the CIA/FBI/complex was evil and plotting to kill innocent Americans all the time

now I'm told, by the same people who did this hit job on them in the 70s, that they are angels and holy and anything they do is pure

all I'm seeing is a half dozen of the most incompetent, brain-slow, bozos that somehow rose to the top of a bureaucracy ever

LYING LIAR OBFUSCATES ABOUT LYING: McCabe Gets Weird on NPR, Refuses to Answer About Lying Under Oath.

NPR’s Morning Edition on Monday split its Andrew McCabe interview into two segments. On the home page they were promoting Russiagate: “Andrew McCabe, Ex-FBI Deputy, Describes ‘Remarkable’ Number Of Trump-Russia Contacts.” On air, that segment never mentioned his lying under oath to the FBI. There was a second segment simply titled “Andrew McCabe Discusses His Firing.” McCabe’s answers were often refusals to answer, which Inskeep spun as “exceptionally careful.” Kudos to NPR for trying to explore it, briefly.

I wouldn’t have expected even that much from NPR. Kudos, indeed.

everyone is a big tough guy when they have resigned

there is no way someone employed and in the White House remotely told Trump off during cabinet meetings, or organized any serious movement to undermine him

all tough talk after the fact...
