Mark Vader Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 The month of February brings the Winter Season of movies to a close, as the studios prepare to release their bigger titles in the coming months. Thanks to "Black Panther" the month of February had the highest grossing domestic film of the year....that will not happen this time around, although there are a few very good offerings to bring in crowds to the multiplexes. A pair of family films headline this month's offerings. Hiccup & Toothless return for the 3rd time with "How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World". When Hiccup discovers Toothless isn't the only Night Fury, he must seek "The Hidden World", a secret Dragon Utopia before a hired tyrant named Grimmel finds it first. Starring the voices of Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, F. Murray Abraham, Cate Blanchett & Gerard Butler. Chris Pratt lends his voice to, "The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part". It's been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: Lego Duplo invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. Also starring the voices of Elizabeth Banks & Will Arnett. 20th Century Fox presents, "Alita: Battle Angel". A deactivated female cyborg is revived, but cannot remember anything of her past life and goes on a quest to find out who she is. Starring Rosa Salazar, Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali & Jackie Earle Haley. Directed by Robert Rodriguez & Written by James Cameron. Liam Neeson stars in "Cold Pursuit". A snowplow driver seeks revenge against the drug dealers he thinks killed his son. Based on the 2014 Norwegian film 'In Order of Disappearance'. In "Happy Death Day 2U", Tree Gelbman discovers that dying over and over was surprisingly easier than the dangers that lie ahead. Starring Jessica Rothe. In "Fighting With My Family", A former wrestler and his family make a living performing at small venues around the country while his kids dream of joining World Wrestling Entertainment. Starring Florence Pugh, Lena Headey, Jack Lowden, Dwayne Johnson & Nick Frost. In "What Men Want", A woman is boxed out by the male sports agents in her profession, but gains an unexpected edge over them when she develops the ability to hear men's thoughts. Starring Taraji P. Henson. In "Isn't It Romantic", A young woman disenchanted with love mysteriously finds herself trapped inside a romantic comedy. Starring Rebel Wilson, Liam Hemsworth, Adam Devine & Priyanka Chopra. Finally, in "The Prodigy", A mother concerned about her young son's disturbing behavior thinks something supernatural may be affecting him. Starring Taylor Schilling, Brittany Allen & Jackson Robert Scott. SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 How To Train Your Dragon & Alita are the ones I'm interested in. I just don't get the Lego movies maybe if I was tripping on magic mushrooms 1
DCOrange Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 I'm all in for the Lego Movie. I thought that everything was awesome in the first one and I'm confident the second will be more of the same. Nothing else really gripping me at the moment. Haven't done very well in keeping up with the movies lately, but I finally got around to seeing the new animated Spider-Man movie last month and I was pretty much blown away; I turned down free tickets to see it before it hit theaters and now realize that was a mistake. 1

I loved both of these movies. Very well done. I want to see Alita and The Prodigy as well
Buffalo_Gal Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 How to train your dragon... but not at the show. I'll wait for video.
Augie Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Went with the gimpy wife for our anniversary on 2/16. She broke her ankle not too long ago so sedentary entertainment was best. The previews were very disappointing. I’m not into monsters or robots, but at least we’ve moved beyond zombies. We thoroughly enjoyed The Green Book. Can’t we just make quality movies with people anymore? I’d like to go to the movies more often, but I find it hard to find options that appeal to me. With so many channels, there are a lot of movies I missed 5-15 years ago that I get better stuff at home, but it’s not the same experience. 1

NobesBLO13 Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 The Prodigy was fun, good date night flick. I like how they injected a legitimate nightline news segment into the story.
