R. Rich Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 to answer your question, it closed suddenly a couple of weeks ago. No plans to reopen in the WNY area. 290017 Was that the only Damon's open in the entire WNY area? Man, does that suck if it's true. I think there's still one in Erie, but with all the other places opening up, maybe they can't compete any more.
AiO Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 There are still 7 Damons in the greater Columbus area. Up until a few months ago, we had 9. According to the article in the paper detailing the closings, more than a dozen restaurants chain-wide were closed because of declining sales.

Mark VI Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Oh no. Damons is closed. That means we're down to about 1500 good places to eat/drink in WNY.

I wouldn't consider Damon's one of the good places to eat in WNY personally... MAYBE it ranked at number 1,501, in which case "down to" could be apt. CW
udonkey Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 the one in my hometown, in SE Ohio, closed this past weekend.
Fan in San Diego Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Okay, not to be snobby, but you claim to be from WNY and call Olive Garden good Italian. 289943 I was thinking the same thing. My M-I-L is Italian and no other food can compare to her cooking.
