Fezmid Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Did this place close or something? 289900 I think the franchise may have shutdown most of their locations. My wife and I noticed a local Damon's in the Twin Cities was gone as well. Their list of locations on the website seems very small now as well: http://www.ribsribsribs.com/locations.htm CW
USMCBillsFan Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 I love Damon's.... Great food at reasonable prices. When I was travelling for work we would always find one and eat there. Sucks they're closing so many...
R. Rich Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 My wife loves their wings and we both like their prime rib. The BBQ ribs aren't bad, either. Too bad there isn't one relatively close to where we live now.
R. Rich Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 They just opened one in our area. 289927 Will you take us there if the Psycho and I come up there? Your treat, of course.
USMCBillsFan Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Wish they'd put one here in Jacksonville. They're getting pretty good about the popular chain type restaraunts here but no Damon's.... They need an Olive Garden too. An Olive Garden would make a killing here as there aren't really any good Italian places here.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Will you take us there if the Psycho and I come up there? Your treat, of course. 289928 YOU?!?! You gotta be kidding. You'd eat me out of house and home, big fella.
USMCBillsFan Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Rich, I'll treat you if we ever get together face to face because thanks to you I almost got to a game last year. Now if I can only get tickets AND time off!!

That's a very valid point and it goes to show you what being away for 17 years will do to you. Olive Garden has BECOME good Italian to me, (other than home cooked of course). So with very much shame, I apologize...

Their soup is ok. Other than that... Blech. Anyone in the Twin Cities area that wants some REALLY good (fancy) Italian food should check out Mama Maria's in North Hudson. It's REALLY good. http://www.explorewisconsin.com/MamaMariasItalianRestaurant/ I'm 50% Italian (my grandmother and mother both came over in 1954), and I love the food there. CW
USMCBillsFan Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Yeah, that sucked. I hope I can help you out again this year. 289946 I appreciate it but unfortunately, I'll be in the big sand box this whole season. This board will be my only true Bills communications this season.
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 I could go for a chicken parm with the mozzarella pasta at Chef's.
R. Rich Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 My wife loves Italian food. I like it too, just not to the same extremes as her. That said, she also love the Olive Garden. Not that we haven't had better (there's a few pretty good places in Little Italy here in Baltimore; Luigi Petti is very good, but not cheap), mind you, but that is what she likes.

USMCBillsFan Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 We do have an Italian place here called Ragazzi's that has good salad and breadsticks. Other than that about the only thing I like is the meat totellini in white sauce....mmmm....
BarkLessWagMore Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Did this place close or something? 289900 to answer your question, it closed suddenly a couple of weeks ago. No plans to reopen in the WNY area.
