PTS
Set your clocks ahead Saturday night. The first couple weeks, are going to be a killer to get use to. 289703 Why do we still push our clocks back in the fall? I rather have light at the end of the day. The reason they did so back in the turn of last century was so farmers could get more time to get onto the fields in the morning. That's obviously not needed anymore.

plenzmd1
Someone told me it was for the school kids to have light in the morning. 289728 Thats it, light for both morning pick up and afternoon drop off. Speaking of kids, what a pleasure to get them to go to bed an hour earlier than normal, and sleep to a respectable hour!!. Screw messing with the clocks if only for those of us with the wee ones in the house.
crazyDingo
Try to make up for that hour of sleep by napping at work. I highly recommend this as it leaves you refreshed for your coffee and lunch breaks.

That never made sense to me as a reason. Why would farmers care what time it was? - they worked from sunrise to sunset; not 9 to 5.
