RVJ Posted March 29, 2005 Author Posted March 29, 2005 I live in an old neighborhood. A ton of big old tree's on my street. I love when they start budding. Its a green explosion.

PTS Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Set your clocks ahead Saturday night. The first couple weeks, are going to be a killer to get use to. 289703 Why do we still push our clocks back in the fall? I rather have light at the end of the day. The reason they did so back in the turn of last century was so farmers could get more time to get onto the fields in the morning. That's obviously not needed anymore.

plenzmd1 Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Someone told me it was for the school kids to have light in the morning. 289728 Thats it, light for both morning pick up and afternoon drop off. Speaking of kids, what a pleasure to get them to go to bed an hour earlier than normal, and sleep to a respectable hour!!. Screw messing with the clocks if only for those of us with the wee ones in the house.
crazyDingo Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Try to make up for that hour of sleep by napping at work. I highly recommend this as it leaves you refreshed for your coffee and lunch breaks.
Mile High Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Yes!!! In a few more months it will be warm in upstate NY!!!!!!!!! 289705 Yeah spring starts here June 1st.

nobody Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 The reason they did so back in the turn of last century was so farmers could get more time to get onto the fields in the morning. That never made sense to me as a reason. Why would farmers care what time it was? - they worked from sunrise to sunset; not 9 to 5.
